The Faculty Club - Work In Progress 2011 :Case Study No.5: I came across The Faculty Club, by Shift Architecture Urbanism, on archdaily and really admired it.

Using the drawings and details on archdaily along with some advice from project architect Pieter Heymans, I have started to develop my own study of the project. I intend to produce a full tender package along with visualisations and walkthroughs.

Tolu and Jennifer give the new first yearsa tour of the school. They explain that the bathrooms prevent bullying as each cubicle is a self contained unit.A social space is createdand traditional blind spots are avoided.

The traditional cul - de - sac situation is avoided by placing two doorsat either end of the bathroom. Each cubicle contains a wash hand basinand dryer similar to the robust toilets at Mc Donalds. This means that asocial space can encourage incidental meetings and it can also now bemonitored by camera

033 | Kingsmill House

This Page :One of my best successes was to design a contemporary house for an infill site in Bray, Co. Wicklow. Previous designs had failed to be granted planning. I was entrusted as projectarchitect and liaised with the clients, neighbours and planners. My design was for a contemporary update of the Georgian seaside villa, a typology common in Bray, (inset top right). I put the planning pack together myself and the project was granted permission without any objections.
