  • W hat Strange PowersDid The Ancients Possess?

EVERY im p ortan t discovery re la ting to m ind pow er, sound thinking and cause and effect, as applied to selfadvancement, was known centuries ago, before the masses could read and write.

Much has been written about the wise men o f old. A popular fallacy has it that their secrets o f personal power and successful living were lost to the world. Know ledge of natures laws, accumulated through the ages, is never lost. At times the great truths possessed by the sages were hidden from unscrupulous men in high places, but never destroyed.

    W h y W ere Their Secrets

    C lo se ly G u a rd e d ?

O nly recently, as tim e is measured; no t more than twenty generations ago, less than 1/ l 00th o f 1 c/c o f the earth's people were thought capable o f receiving basic knowledge about the laws o f life, for it is an elementary truism that knowledge is power and that power cannot be entrusted to the ignorant and the unworthy.

W isdom is not readily attainable by the general public; nor recognized when right within reach. The average person absorbs a multitude of details about things, but goes through life w ithout ever knowing where and how to acquire mastery o f the fundamentals of the inner m indthat mysterious silent som ething which "w hispers to you from within.

Fundam enta l Law s of N ature

Your habits, accomplishments and weaknesses are the effects o f causes. Your thoughts and actions are governed by fundamental laws. Example: The law o f com pensation is as fundamental as the laws o f breathing, eating and sleeping. All fixed laws o f nature are as fascinating to study as they are vital to understand for success in life.

You can learn to find and follow every basic law o f life. You can begin at any time to discover a w hole new world o f interesting truths. You can start at once to awaken your inner powers o f self-understanding and self-advancement. You can learn from one o f the world's oldest institutions, first known in America in 169-4. Enjoying the high regard of hundreds of leaders, thinkers and teachers, the order is known as the Rosicrucian Brotherhood. Its complete name is the "Ancient and Mystical O rder Rosae Crucis," abbreviated by the initials "A M O R C . T he teachings o f the Order are no t sold, for it is not a commercial organization, nor is it a religious sect. It is a non-profit fraternity, a brotherhood in the true sense.

    N ot For G enera l D istribution

Sincere m en and wom en, in search o f the truth those who wish to fit in with the ways o f the w orldare invited to write for a com plim entary copy o f the sealed booklet, "The

Master)' o f Life. It tells how to contact the lihrarian o f the archives o f A M O R C for this rare knowledge. This booklet is not intended for general distribution, nor is it sent w ithout request. It is therefore suggested that you write for your copy to the Scribe whose address is given in the coupon. T he initial step is for you to take.

u r own burdens are the easiest to carry. There is an old parable to the effect that each of us should think of our tribulations in life as being a huge pack with which we are laden. If then, each of us were to place these

    packs
