Rosewood Resort bids a hearty ‘HAPPY 150th BIRTHDAY’ to our Country, Canada! For this special occasion, I dug up some interesting facts about our Country - hope you find them as interesting as I did:

1. Canada is the world’s second largest country, behind Russia 2. Canada is the world’s most educated country; over half its residents have college degrees 3. Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world’s lakes combined 4. Canada has the largest coastline in the world 5. Canada’s official phone number is 1-800-O-CANADA 6. The Eiffel Tower was almost temporarily relocated to Canada in 1967 7. Americans have invaded Canada twice, in 1775 and 1812. They lost both times 8. After the attack on Pearl Harbor during WW2, Canada declared war on Japan before the US did 9. Canada has had no weapons of destruction since 1984 10. July 15th is the Rosewood Nine and Dine, a four person ‘best ball’ tournament at the Sundre Golf Club. 4:00 shotgun start. Golf with cart and supper $55. Supper only $25. Contact Jim Bolin or Charlie Crutchfield for tickets/details - they will NOT be going trailer or trailer this year to sign up participants, so you must reach out to them. Their contact numbers are listed below - all payment has to be made in full by July 2nd this year - no exceptions.

Mark Your Calendars with these Upcoming Events:

Wind Up Dinner Join us for an evening of great food, fun, and reminiscing as we wind up the season. The date is Sept 9th at the Sundre Legion. Doors open at 4:00, with the cocktail hour starting at 4:30 followed by the supper at 5:30. The event provides a great opportunity to remember the funs times from the season, and say ‘see you next season’ to your neighbours. Tickets are available at the office, and will go on sale August 12th.

Lost and Found Lost - a Woman’s Columbia rain jacket, lime green in colour, size XL. May have been left in the quonset after the July 1st BBQ last year. If found, please return to the office as the owner is greatly missing it.

Found - Woman’s sunglasses with reading orbitals implanted in each lens - black with white gemstones on sides. Found by staff in recycling box. Pick up at office if they are yours.

Classified Looking to Buy something? Then you will want to check out the bulletin board across from the garbage bins. Here you’ll find various various items being offered by your Rosewood neighbours. And don’t forget to check back frequently as the items posted move quickly.

Looking to Sell something? Make up as small (8.5x11) poster/typed advertisement and bring it to the office - we’ll be happy to post it on our community bulletin board for you. As a heads-up, the park is moving away from having private ‘For Sale’ signs posted on the individual sites. If you presently have a ‘For Sale’ sign on your site, we ask that you take it down. If the target buyer for your item is a Rosewood neighbour, then the best place to advertise is on the bulletin board. If the target buyer is from outside the park, we suggest posting the item on an on-line marketing site (ie Kijiji, Craigslist, LetGo) as we have no drive-by traffic in the park, and your item will not be getting the exposure it needs.
