June 03 – Feb 2010 Hope Cottage EMI Rest Home, Southport

I was employed as deputy manager of the home, holding this position for four years, including three months acting as Manager whilst the new manager was recruited. Before this I was a Senior Carer. My main duties are to assist the manager in the running of the home and to manage in her absence. I also operate as senior carer, looking after all aspects of the comfort of the homes service users. I attained my NVQ IV in Management in June 2005, and gained NVQ II in Administration, and have achieved many certificates in subject relevant to both roles. My role includes an awareness of health and safety issues and I follow strict guidelines and procedures on the reporting of potential hazards.

2000 - May 2003 Bells and Co, Southport

This role was that of assembler and packer of medicines and other products under hygienic conditions. Amongst my duties were to ensure the correct product was inserted in the correct bottles, jars or tubes, the correct amounts of each being checked.

1997 – 2000 Sensing Devices Ltd, SouthportThis position was as an assembler of delicate pieces of equipment for use in the refrigeration and security industries. The role involved precise use of microscopes, micro tools and needed great attention to detail and steady concentration.
