Rosa Parks Expository

ParagraphThe Fight For Freedom!

Rosa Parks was a very amazing person because she fought hard for what she wanted. She inspired me because she wasn't only fighting for herself, she was also fighting for others. If that day, December 1, 1955 never happened where we be in this world, probably all whites and blacks would still be segregated. It would still be going on, from the help of Martin Luther King Jr., and Rosa Parks we will not have to worry about segregation every again. She was and African American that was born in Tuskegee, Alabama on February 4,1913. Her life as an African American living in Alabama was very very tragic, she couldn't play with the white kids or even ride the bus with white people. She couldn't even go to the same restaurants or the same water fountains as the whites. When she was a little girl whites and blacks went to di!erent schools. All the blacks went one school when the whites went to another school, they weren't allowed to be with each other because the parents of the whites would get mad. Every black had to walk to school, it took hours to walk when the whites all got to ride buses. On December 1,1955 Rosa Parks was riding the bus home from work when a white man stepped on the bus, the bus driver asked her to give up her seat for him. She refused to get up, the bus driver decided to call the police. She was never treated right just because the color of her skin, she knew she had to do something about this, so she did. Rosa Parks died on October 24, 2005 at the age 92, she was sad that she had to die but she knew she did the best she could do in life. When she died in 2005 all buses in Montgomery, Alabama and Detroit put black ribbons on all the front of the buses in honor of Rosa Parks death. What else could we ask a person but make a di!erence in our world, she made a huge one People always say that I didn't "give up my seat because I was , but it wasn't true. I was not tired physically...... I was not old..... I was forty-two. No the only tired I was, was tired of giving in." -Rosa Parks!
