The gate way preserves the original stone steps to Bessie’s house on Aluminum Road

From Jubilee Ridge Road/ Bessie Harvey Avenue, safe, easy access is provided for the neighborhood, children/strollers, and the physically disabled (ADA )

The park is connected to area greenways and will be a destination on the trails, and provides a visible link to walking / jogging trails and bikeways

Bessie’s Front Porch features a plaque with Bessie’s story; provides stage area for storytelling and live performances

Brick paved areas provide space for names of donors and benefactors

Cast Bronze “The Story Teller” is set on a concrete pedestal surrounded by a circular fountain base with night accent lighting

Concrete walls available as display space for future arts education programs

Sculpture Garden areas provide spaces for future art making
