About MODEXPO
MODEXPO - International exhibition for textiles, ready-made clothes, leather goods, furs, footwear and leatherwear, accessories brings together the demand and supply of the biggest producers, importers and suppliers in the field, over 4 days, between 16th and 19th of November 2017, in the C4 Pavilion, at Romexpo Exhibition Centre. By participating at MODEXPO, the exhibiting companies will have an overall and up-to-date image on the market, having the opportunity of direct contact with their clients, both Romanian and from abroad. MODEXPO is taking place in the same time with The Romanian Tourism Fair and ROMHOTEL – International Exhibition for equipment, furniture and supplies for hotels and restaurants.
• ”In the last year we participated in many meetings in the textile industry and gaining 2 big projects as a region operator. We are the second region in Europe regarding the labour involved in the textile industry, following another Region from France; so, we are very important and we have many open doors at Brusselles textile federations. • Romania exported in the last year 57 million shoes worthed 1.3 billion dolars, and aproximatelly 64% were leather shoes.
• Romania is one of the biggest producer and exporter of leather shoes reaching on the West Market with prices of tens or even hundreds of euros. Considering that Romania imported in the last year 61 million shoes, only 12% made of leather, the rest made of rubber and plastic (40%) or textile (34%).
• About the exporting price for the local shoes, Romania has a place in top 5 worldwide, alongside with big names from Italy or Portugal.
