THE PROPERTY The Evergreen Lodge was built in 1921, fully renovated and expanded in 2004 and expanded yet again in 2009. The lodge now offers 88 cabins and a host of indoor and outdoor spaces and activities for guests to enjoy.

Each wedding group has specialized needs, and we will work with you on all aspects of your planning, including: lodging options, budget realities, meal options, ceremony/reception/other event locations, as well as guided and self-directed recreation opportunities. Our flexibility in helping you craft your vision allows you to create the event of your dreams. We do our best to take away the pressure of planning such an important day, giving you more time to focus on your guests and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

Weddings at the Evergreen include a variety of services, facilities and equipment for weddings of up to 200 guests:

• Time spent with you throughout your wedding planning process, including face to face meetings, telephone consultations & email correspondence

• A personal Wedding Day Assistant to help with the arrangements of all facilities and details for your special day

• Exclusive use of event facilities • House linens for meal events• Table settings• Chairs & tables• Silver cake service• Service staff throughout your event/s• All set up & breakdown of equipment

We can arrange additional enhancements, including table decorations, specialty linens, floral service, cake service, archway, dance floor, and DJ. We can also deliver gift baskets and wedding mementos for your guests.

A TIMELESS YOSEMITE LODGING EXPERIENCEGuests at our mountain resort stay in a variety of new and recently renovated cabins scattered throughout a forest of towering pines. The cabins provide a back-to-nature escape with unexpected comforts and style at an affordable price.

Our cabins are warmly furnished, with views to the woods, heat, fans, private bathrooms, scenic decks, satellite radio, comfortable beds with feather pillows, and more. We strive to provide a relaxed lodging experience with warm hospitality.

We offer a variety of accommodation types and sizes, including vintage cabins, deluxe cabins, one bedroom cottages & two-bedroom family cabins. Our cabins allow you to savor the serenity from your deck, then walk on over to our Main Lodge and courtyard to rejoin the group for a variety of food, drink, conversation and activities.

In addition to our cabins, we offer Custom Camping, a memorable alternative in which guests sleep among the big trees in our spacious, mesh-topped tents with views to the stars. Guests arrive to a fully furnished (and fully set up) tent site, including comfortable beds, sleeping bags & liners, pillows, towels, toiletries, camping chairs and lantern. Guests have exclusive use of our bathhouse, and they enjoy all the fun of ordinary camping without the hassle and discomfort. Custom camping offers great value and consistently receives rave reviews.

ACCOMMODATIONS


AN IDEAL YOSEMITE WEDDING VENUEWedding ceremonies include the wonderful sights and sounds of nature and take place outdoors at Camp Mather or in our main plaza (open-air or tented). Couples can also have their ceremony in the Park and return to the Lodge for their reception. Non-peak season events (November-April) can also be hosted in our vaulted ceiling Recreation Center, which can accommodate up to 100 guests.

Our main restaurant, outdoor courtyard and dining area, tavern, recreation center and Coyote Hill event areas provide groups with great flexibility for both their functions and their leisure time. Rehearsal dinners and brunches can be held in any of our several venues.

Plus, larger groups can have the entire Lodge to themselves, which allows for tremendous flexibility and creativity.

Ceremony Site We are fortunate to have access to a serene, beautiful site next to Birch Lake at neighboring Camp Mather. Surrounded by a canopy of towering pines, grasses and wildflowers, this is an idyllic location for such a special moment in time.

Courtyard & Sun Deck Our central Courtyard offers ping pong and a kids play area, complete with Miwok bark teepees and natural sandbox. In addition, guests can lounge on our 1,500 square foot Sun Deck. It is the perfect spot to read a book in the sun, relax with a cocktail or just enjoy a great High Sierra afternoon with your family and friends.

For weddings, we transform our Courtyard from daytime fun to a romantic, personalized reception under the tall pines & Sierra stars. In late spring, summer and early fall, we host our wedding receptions outdoors to take advantage of the fantastic weather and gorgeous starry nights. We offer our Sun Deck for a bandstand or DJ, complete with dance floor so you can dance the night away. Our Courtyard hosts events from 30 - 200 guests.

Tuolumne Hall Game Room & Movie Theater You can return to the simple pleasures of childhood in Tuolumne Hall, where a variety of parlor games await. Try your hand at Billiards, shuffleboard, or foosball. Or, take a seat in our new mini theater adjacent to the game room and enjoy a movie or naturalist slide show. Tuolumne Hall also has a fun toddler play area, crafts tables, computers and comfy seating areas. The building features vaulted ceilings, cathedral windows and a classic mountain feel.

Recreation Center Fostering the warm and inviting nature of the Evergreen, our Recreation Center is a great place to host a smaller event, with its indoor/outdoor fireplace, rough-hewn beams and intimate setting. Leather Couches and rocking chairs fill the space as a big fireplace crackles away during the colder months. Intimate non-peak season wedding ceremonies and receptions find a cozy home in the Recreation Center.

When not hosting events, the Recreation Center is a place for hanging out, relaxing, reading, playing board games and getting s’mores by the fireside. It’s also our recreation hub, where you can learn about Yosemite, talk with our naturalist guides, find out about Evergreen’s daily activities and programs, and plan your Yosemite adventures. And for those who must stay connected, the Recreation Center also offers free phones and internet.

General Store Our General Store provides everything you need for your stay with us and for your adventures around the Yosemite area. In the morning, get coffee, a muffin, a couple energy bars and a homemade sandwich and hit the road for a day’s adventure. Later on, pick up a few gifts for the folks back home, or round out your recreation gear with a set of hiking poles. Return in the evening and re-energize with a milkshake and a bit of relaxation on the front deck.

Coyote Hill Event Area Our 3,000 square foot outdoor event area, Coyote Hill, is a beautiful, private, wooded venue designed specifically for rehearsal dinners and barbecues as well as post-wedding brunches. The area includes a private campfire ring and has become a wedding party favorite. Coyote Hill can accommodate groups from 30 to 150 for daytime or evening use.

Swimming Pool Area, Cedar Room & Terrace Situated among towering pines you’ll find our solar-heated salt water pool and hot tub, pool bar, and upper level Cedar Room and Terrace. While the pool is open seasonally, hot tub stargazing has become a guest favorite for all seasons. The Cedar Room is an inviting space for private events, and is an ideal ready-room for the bridal party.




CATERING SERVICES, RESTAURANT & TAVERNWe pride ourselves in exceeding expectations and serving great food and wine in a relaxed mountain atmosphere. We can design all of your meals to suit your group’s budget and dietary realities. Groups can choose the dining venue that suits their needs, enjoying meals in our main lodge, our covered patio, our central courtyard or our Coyote Hill event area.

Our historic main lodge houses our restaurant and tavern. The restaurant can seat groups up to 85, and for a more ‘local’ experience, our tavern can seat groups up to 40. Our tavern is a local favorite, and your group is sure to enjoy its classic feel, including a pool table, historic photos, 30 foot wood bar and wrap-around deck. Our covered patio, overlooking the courtyard, also provides a wonderful option for groups of up to 50.

Our catering staff can create custom tailored dining experiences for you. As with the rest of your event, we’ll focus on crafting menus and presentations that help realize your vision. Options range from “backpacker” lunches (for your day hike) to a variety of buffets to “mountain elegant” plated reception dinners. Please contact our Weddings Coordinator for menu options, pricing and further details.

Note: all food & beverage for your event is provided by the Lodge, with exception of the wedding cake.


RESERVATIONS & BOOKINGSTo reserve a date, a non-refundable deposit of the facility rental fee is due within 14 days after booking your date. An additional $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due at 90 days out from the event. At 30 days an additional deposit is due equal to 50% of the estimated invoice balance. The remainder is due at checkout. We require a two-night minimum rental on cabins. There is a 125 guest minimum May – October, with no minimum guest count during other months. The rates and terms described are applicable for 2013.
