RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Congratulations to all of the First Holy Communicants who received

Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time last Sunday. This is also a

special occasion for all the people of St. Stanislaus Parish because, as

we observe their joy, we are reminded of the significance of the

Eucharist in our own lives. At this time, the parish would also like to

express gratitude to their parents and their teachers. They did an

outstanding job preparing these young people to receive this beautiful

sacrament. Please keep all of them in your prayers.

unfathomable love as well as for your goodness, sacrifice and

dedication. I wish you not only the graces of good health, joy and

kochane. Kochane Mamy dzisiaj w dniu Waszego święta w

imieniu Ks. Antoniego, Ks. Stanisława i własnym pragnę Wam z

głębi serca serdecznie podziękować za Wasza niepojętą miłość.

ROZWAŻANIE DO EWANGELII

Naszym przeznaczeniem jest świętość, czyli podobieństwo do

Boga. My oczywiście wymyślamy sobie inne przeznaczenia, albo

wierzymy w inne przeznaczenia, ale przeznaczenie jest tylko to

jedno - świętość. Cechą tego przeznaczenia jest to, że można od

niego uciec, bo świętość z natury swojej wymaga wolnej i

nieprzymuszonej decyzji. Kto odrzuci to jedyne przeznaczenie

stanie się człowiekiem zagubionym na całą wieczność. Można

żyć w zagubieniu, ale jest to życie w cierpieniu. Człowiek

zagubiony cierpi. Pozwólmy się więc uświęcić. Tak!

Nie uświęcajmy się sami, bo tego nie umiemy. Niech uświęca nas

Bóg Ojciec, zgodnie z prośbą Jego Syna, a naszego Brata.

Zapraszamy serdecznie na Nabożeństwa Majowe w piątki po Mszy św. o godzinie 19.00.

PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS

In the back of the Church, there are nomination forms for the

Parish Council. The terms of four members have expired.

(Joseph Boyne, Paul Broniek, Ray Wilonski and Bruce

Przygocki.) These members or other parishioners who meet

the qualifications may be nominated using the nomination

forms. The deadline for nominations is today. The election

will be June 9th & 10th

.

Z tyłu kościoła znajdują się formularze nominacyjne do Rady

Parafialnej. Kadencja czterech członków wygasła. (Joseph

Boyne, Paul Broniek, Ray Wilonski i Bruce Przygocki)

Jednak Ci członkowie lub inni parafianie mogą być

nominowani. Bardzo proszę o wskazanie swoich kandydatów

poprzez wypełnienie formularza. Termin zgłaszania

kandydatów upływa dzisiaj, natomiast wybory odbędą się 9 i

10 czerwca.

NOVENA TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

Archbishop Blair will be praying the Novena to the Holy

Spirit from May 11th to May 19th, with special intentions for

each day that it lasts. All members of the Archdiocese of

Hartford are encouraged to also pray this Novena.

The novena in honor of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all

novenas since it was first made at the direction of Our Lord

Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await

the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. It is still

the only novena officially prescribed by the Church.

Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a

powerful plea for the light and strength and love so sorely

needed by every Christian.

OUR CATHOLIC FAITH — PASS IT ON!

Although the school year is by no means over, the parish is

making preparations for the young people of St. Stanislaus

Parish who will sign up to learn more about Jesus and their

Catholic faith this fall. Our Faith Formation Program is in

need of teachers, volunteers and individuals who can work

with our young people on special projects throughout the year.

You can help our children on their faith journey by joining our

Faith Formation Program! As you nurture the faith of our

young people, you will learn and grow as well. As one long

time teacher put it, "I learn so much from the children! It is the

greatest gift I give myself each week." The Faith Formation

Program will supply you the materials, ongoing training and

support. Classes are offered on Saturday mornings at 9:00

AM. Become a part of this most important parish ministry.
