Proyección de la película Roma y diálogo sobre igualdad de género Screening of Roma and dialogue on gender equality Helsinki, 27 marzo 2019.- En el marco de la conmemoración del Día Internacional de la Mujer se proyectó en la Embajada de México en Finlandia la película “Roma” de Alfonso Cuarón, Ganadora del Oscar en 2019 a la mejor Película Extranjera. La proyección del filme fue seguida por un diálogo encabezado por representantes de la Asociación Multicultural de Mujeres MONIKA y del Comité Nacional de Finlandia para ONU Mujeres, sobre la temática de la película, en particular desde la perspectiva de la igualdad de género, con el público presente. Helsinki, March 27th, 2019.- As part of this year’s International Women’s Day, the Mexican Embassy in Finland organized a screening of the Mexican film Roma, directed by Alfonso Cuarón and 2019 Oscar Winner for Foreign Language Film. The screening of the film was followed by a dialogue conducted by representatives from the Multicultural Women’s Associa-tion MONIKA and the Finland National Committee for UN Women, who discussed with the audience several topics in the film, in particular from the perspective of gender equality.

El chef Jorge Vallejo en Helsinki | Mexican chef Jorge Vallejo in HelsinkiHelsinki, 12 abril 2019.- Uno de los mejores chefs mexicanos contemporáneos y propietario del emblemático Restaurante Quintonil en Ciudad de México, Jorge Vallejo, visitó Helsinki en abril con el fin de presentar las técnicas más desarrolladas de la alta cocina mexicana. Su paso por Finlandia sirvió entre otros para poner de relieve la excelencia de nuestros sabores y el conocimiento culinario mexicano. En 2018, Quintonil ocupó el lugar 11° en la lista de los 50 mejores restaurantes del mundo. Helsinki, April 12th, 2019.- One of the best contemporary Mexican chefs and owner of the iconic Restaurant Quintonil in Mexico City, Jorge Vallejo, visited Helsinki in April to present the most developed techniques in Mexican haute cuisine. His visit to Finland was an opportunity among others to highlight the excellence of our flavors and the Mexican culinary knowledge. In 2018, Quintonil rakend number 11 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Helsinki, 26 abril 2019.- El doctor Miguel Ángel Díaz Perera, de la Unidad Villahermosa del Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR Villahermosa), impartió en la Sala Multiusos de la Embajada de México en Helsinki la conferencia intitulada “Viajeros europeos en el sur de México”, una exposición sobre el amplio interés que despertaron el arte, la cultura y las civilizaciones de nuestro país a diversos antropólogos e historiadores europeos en el siglo XIX. El doctor Díaz Perera, licenciado en Historia por la Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco y maestro y doctor en Historia por el Centro de Estudios Históricos de El Colegio de Michoacán, presentó la conferencia en la Embajada acompañado por las doctoras Dora Ramos y Edith Kauffer, con quienes lleva a cabo el proyecto “Agua y vulnerabilidad en sociedad frágiles” en colaboración con la Universidad de Helsinki

Helsinki, April 26th, 2019.- Mexican doctor Miguel Ángel Díaz Perera from the Unit of Villahermosa at the School Frontera Sur in Mexico (ECOSUR Villahermosa) gave a talk entitled “European travelers in the south of Mexico”. The presentation, which was given at the multiuse lounge of the Embassy in Helsinki, referred to the broad interest several European anthropologist and historians felt for Mexican art, culture and civilization in the 19th century.Doctor Díaz Perera, who is graduated in History by Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco (UJAT) and holds both master and doctoral degrees in History by the Center of Historical Studies from El Colegio de Michoacán, was accompanied at the presentation at the Embassy by doctors Dora Ramos and Edith Kauffer, with whom he is carrying out the project “Water and vulnerability in fragile societies”, in collabo-ration with the University of Helsinki.

La conferencia fue ofrecida por el emba-jador Ernesto Céspedes y estuvo dirigida a miembros de la Asociación Comercial Finlandia – América Latina, la Cancillería finlandesa, la organización Business Finland, la Cámara de Comercio de Finlan-dia y representantes de diversas empresas finlandesas como Advion Solutions, Cama-leonte, Conmio Oy, Tuudo Oy y Palava Global.

Helsinki, 16 abril 2019.- El Ministro Marco Antonio Loustaunau Caballero representó a la Embajada de México en el evento Global Country Fair organizado por estudiantes de la Universidad de Haaga Helia en el campus de la ciudad de Porvoo, especializado en programas de estudios sobre turismo y negocios. El Ministro Loustaunau atendió al público estudiantil asistente interesado en conocer la coyuntura mexicana en dichos rubros. Helsinki, April 16th, 2019.- Minister Marco Antonio Loustaunau Caballero represented the Mexican Embassy in Helsinki at the Global Country Fair event, organized by students from the University of Haaga Helia at the campus of the city of Porvoo, which is specialized in study programs on business and tourism. Minister Loustaunau provided the information requested from the students attending the event with the aim of learning about the business and tourism environment in Mexico.

En la conferencia se destacaron los pilares del desarrollo económico de México para 2019-2024, partiendo de la posición internacional de México y su relación económica internacional, y la incorpo-ración a varios mecanismos de cooper-ación internacional, incluidos los acuerdos de libre comercio con diversos países. Asimismo, el desarrollo de los procesos de innovación que tienen lugar en nuestro país, así como la evolución hacia una indus-tria 4.0 y la modernización de los procesos productivos ocuparon un lugar destacado en la exposición por parte de la Embajada. El público asistente se interesó en conocer

en particular las principales diferencias entre los tratados de libre comercio TLCAN y T-MEC, sobre la continuidad del progra-ma de la red compartida y la política mexicana en la industria minera. Helsinki, March 7th, 2019.- A conference regarding economic priorities and main projects from Mexico’s new government was hosted by The World Trade Center site in Finland. The conference was addressed to members of the Finnish-Latin American Trade Association, the Finnish Foreign Ministry, Business Finland organization, the Finnish Chamber of Commerce and representatives of several Finnish enterprises such as Advion Solutions, Camaleonte, Conmio Oy, Tuudo Oy and Palava Global. The foundations for Mexico’s economic development for the years 2019-2024 were underlined in the conference. The presentation was given by Ambassador Ernesto Céspedes and emphasized Mexico’s position in the world as well as its international economic relations and integration to several international cooperation mechanisms, including free trade agreements with several countries. Development in innovation processes, evolution towards the new digital technology, Industry 4.0, and the modernization of processes taking place in our country deserved special mention from the Embassy. The conference attendees were interested particularly to know the main differences between the two free trade agreements NAFTA and USMCA, the continuity of the Red Compartida network and Mexican regulations in the mining sector.

Helsinki, 25 abril 2019.- La Embajada de México en Finlandia recibió el 25 de abril a una delegación mexicana del sector educativo que visitó las ciudades de Turku y Helsinki, en el marco de una gira organizada por una empresa de servicios educativos. El Embajador Ernesto Céspedes dio la bienvenida a la delegación, a la cual ofreció un panorama general de Finlandia, su desarrollo económico y tecnológico en los últimos años, destacando los alcances de excelencia que ha obtenido a nivel internacional en el rubro de la educación. Se presentaron asimismo los acuerdos que se han llevado a cabo entre universidades de México y Finlandia, así como el intercambio de estudiantes en tiempos recientes. México es el primer destino estudiantil de los nacionales finlandeses en América Latina.

Helsinki, April 25th, 2019.- The Embassy of Mexico in Finland welcomed a Mexican delegation from the field of education on April 25th.The delegation was visiting the cities of Turku and Helsinki as part of a trip organized by a company of education services. Ambassador Ernesto Céspedes welcomed the delegation at the Embassy with a general outlook on Finland, its economic and technological development in recent years underlining its excellent results internationally in the scope of education. The Embassy also gave an overview on the agreements that have been taken place among Mexican and Finnish universities, as well as the levels of student exchange registered recently.
