What is SWITCHcast?

• SWITCHcast was developed to record, edit and publish lectures over the internet.

• Events are being recorded locally with the aid of a recorder software.

• Suitable for recording are events like lectures, conferences, workshops or video messages.

• The download or streaming in various formats takes pace via a central server at SWITCH.

• Computer (Intel Mac, 1 GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.5) with an internet connection

• SWITCH’s free recorder software• Video camera (firewire-compatible)• Microphone or other audio source• Epiphan frame grabber (optional, only essential for fully

automated recordings)
