- All nouns are grouped into either masculine or feminine groups
- Most words [nouns] ending in – O– O are masc:
- Most words [nouns] ending in -- A are fem.
- ElEl & loslos mean noun is masc.
- LaLa & laslas mean noun is feminine.
- To make a noun plural:
1] add “SS” if it ends in a vowel or –”eses” if the word ends in a consonant
2] change el --> los
la --> las
DEFINITE ARTICLES
•EL, LA, LOS, LAS = Articulos Definidos
• They all mean “THE”
In your notes or on a scrap paper, make the following words plural. Remember, there are TWO steps to do.

Note contraction:
De + el = Del ***You MUST use this contraction WHENEVER you can. Unlike in English, Spanish contractions are NOT optional. (There are only 2 contr. in Spanish.)
