ROFMEX 2017A great success of the Romanian facility management industry

The first edition of ROFMEX – Romanian Facility Management Experience Days successfully closed. During 9-11 November 2017, at Romexpo Exhibition Center, companies, specialists and public organizations interacted within the event's four sections: the specialized exhibition, a two-day international conference, the ROFMA certified training courses and the Experience Area.

Displaying a 2700 sqm exhibition area and a 100 sqm demo zone, plus five conference rooms, the first edition of ROFMEX brought together:

Seminars

The international FM and support services conference, attended by 160 specialists, was honored by the presence of prominent international experts like Peter Ankerstjerne - CMO of ISS World Services, Ian Ellison - co-founder of 3edges Workplace and lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, Anne Lennox Martin - General Manager of FMP360 Ltd, as well as Prof. Alexander Redlein of the Technical University of Vienna and Andras Bajai – CEO of ThermoControl FM Kft.

International Conference

During the Conference, the participants also capitalized on the educational seminar “The Importance of FM for the working environment: M a n a g i n g b u i l d i n g s o r d e v e l o p i n g communities?” lectured by Ian Ellison, a widely recognized voice in the field of workplace management.

ROFMEX 2017 educational events also included:- The introductory course in facility management- The certified course for specialization in FM

as well as applicative training courses: - The Floor Care, supported by Karcher Romania- Cleaning procedures in buildings, supported by Tenrom.

Additionally, in the line of ROFMA's objective on continuing education of FM professionals, the seminars "The holistic fire protection approach", supported by Pyronova and "The next major earthquake in Romania. What do we know? What can we do? Resilience of Communities ", held by iSentinel gathered both a significant number of specialists.

Training courses and seminars

Among the topics of interest in the Conference were: - evolutions and trends in the Romanian FM market - work environment optimization through dedicated services and technologies - digitization in FM and support services - fire protection systems - optimizing service deliveries using the next technologies - aligning services to customer productivity requirements - technical maintenance and cost of life cycle in buildings and equipment - added value that facility management brings to the landlord – property manager – facility manager – tenant chain.

The demo functional units of Grundfos, iSentinel, La Fantana and Nespresso were permanently available in Experience Area.
