Well I didn’t quite make the ‘Grease Sock Hop, but I believe it was another great night for all involved. Seventy-two came through the door ready to rock those socks off.
What a great looking crew
we have. Best dressed
male and female. Ruth I
could see you on the back
of that bike with Pete.
Love the colouring Michael
and Krista. Very classy!
I can’t believe these gorgeous
ladies are sitting here alone.
Where are the men???
Hey Merv! Did you just see that?
Oh Wow! That would have to be the ugliest girl I’ve ever seen. I was eyeing her off until
she turned around.
That’ll teach him…hehehe.
Hmm! Obviously he did!
She’s all yours Merv. I reckon I’ve got the pick of the bunch!
And I’ll stick with my lovely
dance partner too!
Just who are those photo
bombers in this photo? Some
people just can’t help
themselves. Can they Alan?
Hope you two didn’t go
parking on your way
home. Hmmm! Look at
that mischievous smile
and who’s behind the
wheel. Ah! To be young
again!
What’s in the
water? Girls
with
moustaches
now!!!
Some photos just don’t need a caption. Check these out.
Boy, it’s really hard not to comment, but I’m going to leave them alone.
Hmm! Maybe just a little comment: Is that what I’ve got to look forward to tonight!!! Hmm! Think I can feel a headache coming on dear.
Maybe this cute guy with the lace headband might be better. After all he’s a good catch(er) That band looks awfully familiar. Keep your hands off him! He’s mine!
Who in their right mind goes to Tassie in Winter!!! Why Kris would!
As we know one of our hard working club members is heading to the cold weather
for a few months. Kris is taking up a position that was just too good to ignore.
(Do you like the cold George, or is Kris going to be doing the travelling in this relationship) We We
Congratulations on the job and have the very best time both workwise and socially.
Keep on Dancing!!!!
“Step up and ask….”
I remind all members that your club needs your assistance on occasion when we host dances and other club events. It is fine to just pay your $12 annual membership to reduce your cost at classes and dances – but if we all wish to keep Rocky Rockers alive and well, please be prepared to offer a little of your valuable time to assist in the running of events. Small tasks can include a half hour manning the bar, assisting at the door or with the preparation of supper and cleaning up after an event. My attitude as acting President of Rocky Rockers is of an egalitarian democratic and participatory approach regarding this social dance club. This means I believe that
- The elected management committee administers the club and coordinates the organising of
events
- All members have an equal and unrestricted say in club matters
- All members should be prepared to avail themselves and assist at club events
This is not ‘my’ social R&R dance club – it is yours. You as members keep the club alive and prospering. Please just ‘step up and ask’ wherever possible if you can help out at an event. I hope that together we can all enhance the enjoyment of our social dancing and nurture the Rocky Rockers club. Regards Gill Kerr

Dance Roster Dance teachers are needed for both beginners and intermediate classes. The club uses a four week rotation of teachers. Just get with a partner and work out your own routine to teach to members. If you’re stumped for ideas, use ‘youtube’ for some inspiration. Even if you don’t have a partner, approach one of the committee members and let them know you are interested in teaching.
Newsletter Items Remember you can always tell me any of your little secrets. I am absolutely well known for keeping secrets safe. Trust me! I work for the Government! [email protected]
Looking forward to whispering with you. Karen Daniels
