Background: RocketSat VI • Mission required angle of attack of rocket to properly process
science data• Attitude determination system was not successful
• Algorithm chosen required more precise sensors to determine its position in flight

Expected Results
• Determine the attitude of the rocket during the ascending portion of flight– Need magnetometer data and at least
one picture of the sun
• Have a system that can be easily recreated for future RocketSat projects to use

Lessons Learned
• Don’t overcomplicate your design, but sometime complex systems are needed to meet the requirements
• Always allow more time to complete certain tasks than you believe
• Follow the schedule as much as possible
