Cadillac Chart-toppers The Cadillac Kings’ amazing achievement earlier this year was to top the US RB&B Chart (See left) The scale of their success can be judged by the acts ranked below them – Fabulous Thunderbirds, Coco Montoya, Samantha Fish, Larry McCray et al – impressed, blues fans?

Did you know-1? The ‘CKs’ album Highway 17 was voted

one of the Top 20 of 2004 by music critics of The Times newspaper? Others on the list included The Cure, Dizzee Rascal, The Killers,Morrissey, Madeline Peyroux, The Pogues,U2 and Brian Wilson.

Choc ‘n’ Roll!

The City of Bruges is famous for its ‘chocolate boutiques’. The Museum of Chocolate is a must during our visit on 17th February (not long after Valentine’s Day!)…believe-it-or-not the sculpture of Disney’s ‘Lady & the Tramp’ above is made entirely of chocolate – even the spaghetti!

Did You Know-2? Belgian

chocolatier Dominique Persoone, based in Bruge, once invented a machine so that the Rolling Stones could snort chocolate? He’s known as ‘The Shocklatier’ …read about him HERE

‘Cruiseflash is brought to you by

“Whoo-ee, whoo-ee, baby – won’t you let me take you on a Sea Cruise?”

Bossing it! Belgium’s Big Time Bossmen are, perhaps, the least well know act on our Rock & Roll Revue – at least in the UK, although they have played, to great acclaim, here). They have made their mark as a young high-energy rock ‘n’ roll/ rockabilly band across their native Belgium and in Holland, Germany and Spain. Their hard-rocking vocalist Dick Hardy (above) is gaining a reputation as a latter-day Gene Vincent. They’ll play on the return (Zeebrugge – Hull) leg of the cruise.

Rock & Roll Returnees Guaranteed to make any party rock, The Revolutionaires are back on-board ‘by popular demand’. Having lit up the Blues Revue in 2016 and brought some N’Awlins Rock and Roll to the Mardi Gras earlier this year they’ll be back to fill the dance floor in February!

You can glimpse the Revs on the Mardi Gras Cruise HERE during this P&O promo video – it’s well worth watching for an insight into one of our ‘Blues@Sea’ experiences.

Christmas Sails? Over 75 ‘cruisers’ signed-up for the Rock & Roll Cruise during November …many of them having just come ashore from the Blues Revue. You can join the party by booking on

“Give me some of that Rock & Roll music …” Chuck Berry is regarded as the ‘Poet of Rock & Roll’ and it’s a well-deserved accolade with his huge collection of songs including Maybellene, Roll Over Beethoven, Rock and Roll Music, Johnny B. Goode, Nadine and No Particular Place to Go. Chuck died earlier this year so we’re delighted to be able to pay tribute to him with an appearance from the amazing Earl Jackson. Earl will take us back to the 50s & 60s when Chuck ruled the Rock & Roll roost.

Did You Know – 3? Chuck’s Johnny B Goode was sent into space in 1977 on the US Voyager space craft – it’s now a billion miles away!

Spread the word? Please let us know if you’re able to distribute flyers for this event.

PS It might be worth pencilling Friday 2nd- Sunday 4th November into your diaries!
