ROCKET LAUNCH TOWERCapstone Project
TOWER DESIGNOur project goal was to build a flexible launch apparatus capable of housing a variety of rocket diameters between 4-10 inches.
The project also had to be light weight and modular for easy transportation.
The tower measured 24 feet in height
FINAL TOWER ASSEMBLYThe tower is composed of three 8 foot sections The cross members measure 32 inches
MANSFIELD ROCKET TESTTested the tower with a 4 inch diameter rocket at Mansfield Washington.Finished tower fine tuning before sending it to the Intercollegiate rocket Engineering competition in green river Utah.The tower successfully launched Eastern Washington Universitie’s rocket to an altitude of 10,700 feet, which took third place in the competition.
