Planning is well underway for the Greater Rock Hall Business Association's Third Pirates and WenchesFantasy Weekend, scheduled for August 14th and 15th, 2010. We are looking forward to another fun andsuccessful event this year for our fellow businesses and tourism of Rock Hall.

We cannot do it without your help.There are many ways to support this town wide event:

VOLUNTEER___Volunteer on Event Weekend – set up/take down, sales, greet visitors, photography,

videography___Volunteer Prior to Event Weekend – sales, promotion___Become a Member of the P&W Committee and participate in the planning

SPONSOR___Sponsor an Adult Activity or Live PerformanceYour business and web link will be posted on the official P&W website and your business will belisted in the official souvenir program. When possible, your name will be listed on a banneroutside of the venue___Please contact me about Hosting an Activity or Performer at my business.___Sponsor a Kids Activity or PerformanceYour business and web link will be posted on the official P&W website and your business will belisted in the official souvenir program. When possible, your name will be listed on a banneroutside of the venue.

CONTRIBUTE___Contribute a product or gift certificate to the ever popular Graybeard Treasure Chest Raffle –this is our primary fundraiser and you may contribute up to 3 gifts – one for each treasure chest.Your business and web link will be posted on the official P&W website and on the posterdistributed around town. BUY AND SELL OFFICIAL SOUVENIR MERCHANDISE AT YOUR BUSINESS___Tee shirts or pennants. Someone from our committee will contact you about details.

We are asking everyone to ADVERTISE the event to your customers, LIST the event on your webpage and newsletters, DECORATE your place of business before and on the weekend of the event,and SPREAD THE WORD!

The most important thing is that Pirates and Wenches Weekend is a total community effort that promoteseach individual business as well as the Town of Rock Hall.

Seeking Donations to the 3rd Annual Pirates & Wenches WeekendTreasure Chest Raffle

The Greater Rock Hall Business Association is currently in search of the “Treasures of Rock Hall!” Theseare goods and services that highlight all the wonderful businesses of this town that many of us call home,some call a “home away from home,” and to who others who will be visiting, possibly for the first time onthis Pirates & Wenches Fantasy Weekend, August14-15th 2010.

As was done last year, we will be dividing the treasure “loot” between three treasure chests that will thenbe raffled off to the public at different events during the weekend. We will be advertising it relentlessly allsummer until the event weekend.

This is an excellent opportunity for your business to get involved, advertise and reach a wide audience. Itis also a huge help to the event, because this fundraiser is instrumental in helping us to offset the cost ofmuch of the live entertainment that is provided free to the community throughout the weekend. Yourbusiness name will be listed on the treasure chest raffle poster, the Rock Hall Pirates and WenchesWeekend official web site, and in the official souvenir program.

All shapes, sizes, and values of donations are welcome and appreciated. Please fill out the attacheddonation sheet and email to or contact Cora Dickson at ccdickson@yahoo.com. Feel free to check out theattached 2009 flyer for a list of last year’s contributions. If you donated last year, we thank you again foryour support.

The item must be new/unused (except for antiques) Please let us know the approximate value of the donation so that we can calculate the overall value

of each treasure chest Gift certificates should have an expiration date, if any, of one year from P&W Weekend 2010 to

give the winner adequate time to use it Multiple donations will be divided into the various treasure chests Donations will be collected by a member of the P&W Committee or can be dropped off to Smilin’

Jake’s. As appropriate, donations will be displayed in the Smilin’ Jake’s window. Donations must be received by July 4, 2010 or your donation will not be able to be included on

the publicity materials.
