A step towards independence and being part of the community.

Roborough House is situated in extensive grounds located in a pleasant suburb of Plymouth. Roborough specializes in providing nursing and personal care for people with complex neurological conditions and associated physical disabilities and also for people with mental health problems.

The homely nature of Roborough makes it an ideal stepping stone towards reintegrating into the wider community.

Ongoing clinical input from the community mental health or physical disability teams, together with daily support from the nursing and support staff help people readjust to and cope with everyday life, safely and healthily, after periods spent in hospital settings.

Individuals living in positive, well-supported environments like Roborough are more likely to successfully recover and regain their independence.

We focus on enabling each individual to take small positive steps towards achieving their personal goals.

Our aimsAt Roborough, we encourage and support independence, self-belief and determination, enabling recovery throughout the care pathway. Ultimately this helps build confidence and empowers each individual to achieve a better quality of life, and a more stable independent future. Many people go on to live in a home of their own.

We have created a positive environment where people can develop self-help skills and get used to having the opportunity and desire to do things for themselves. We maintain individual professional support systems with other agencies and with families.
