ROBINSO,N BOOKS AND PERIODICALS: IIIBy RICHARD CARY

I nstallments I & II of this annotated registry (see precedingissues of CLQ), present all published materials in the Colby

College Library written by Edwin Arlington Robinson and byothers which are inscribed by him. This segment lists the publications written and inscribed by others.

Only items of :evidenced association with Robinson are hereincluded; numerous volumes belonging to his parents andbrothers - available to him but which he mayor may nothave read - are omitted, as are many books which he receivedand p,assed along to friends without mark of the transition.

A strong proportion of the titles are eventuations of worksin-progress by Robinson's contemporaries at the MacDowellColony in Peterborough, New Hampshire, where he spent theassertedly finest creative hours of his life. As his letters attest,he dutifully read and commented on these books, leaving, however, no personal trace within their covers.
