It’s easy to get excited about HD Video, shooting 4K video footage with remote control drone helicopters, social media marketing, business development, new team members, and more, but what this business still comes down to is helping people. We have helped a lot of great people. It is people that keep things interesting, different and sometimes a bit crazy.

There is also another element that makes helping people buy or sell a home exceptionally special. I was out to dinner the other night at a new restaurant in town. I was trying the baked ricotta with gouda underneath, served with fresh bread that was toasted perfectly, and honey. The honey was even served with its own little honey stick. There was something magical about that honey, as it took the dish from good to unbelievably delicious. To me, the richness that comes with residential real estate is in the emotion and the story behind the homes. Every home is different, even if it was built by a tract home builder and has the same floor plan as 30 other homes in the neighborhood. It’s that story, or shall we say “honey,” that makes things interesting. One could easily say that I was just eating a really expensive grilled cheese sandwich, and there might be some truth to that.

It is my 11th year in the business and I have definitely grown to appreciate that I sell homes, not just houses. So, Thank You everyone who has put us to work for you, Thank You to those who read our newsletters, watch our videos, and sign into our website, even if with some goofy prankster names. May you have a blessed holiday season, survive New Year’s Eve, and have an amazing 2015!
