Molybdenum is highly versatile as an alloying element in steel.It enhances strength, hardenability, toughness, weldability,elevated temperature strength, and corrosion resistance of steel.Molybdenum has one of the highest melting points and lowestthermal expansions of any metal. These unique propertiesmake molybdenum the material of choice in a variety of high-techand demanding applications.

We produce molybdenum as a by-product of our copper depositsin the Bingham Canyon Mine near Salt Lake City, Utah. Ourmolybdenum is milled and floated at the Copperton Concentratorand shipped to roasters around the world to produce a roastedmolybdenite concentrate or moly oxide. We package our productto meet our customers’ needs and warehouse it in variouslocations. We sell our moly oxide as a powder or briquette.
