Stonewall Jackson, was named for a Virginian who contributed much to help make America great. Our school, through the years has endeavored to follow some of the ideas of General T. G. "Stonewall" Jackson. It is very proud of the place it has held in education in Roanoke Valley. Under the guidance and direction of four fine principals; A. S. Craft, W. C. Ikenberry, Lewis McNeace and Don Bartol, "Jackson" has produced many fine leaders. (Mr. A. S. Craft deceased.)
