R.O. Writer Integration

O’Reilly Auto Parts partners with Epicor to provide electronic catalog integration with R.O. Writer Shop

Management System. Below you will find a complete walkthrough to add the credentials and configure the

customer’s Smart eCat to look up pricing and availability.

1. Along the left side of the main screen in R.O.

Writer you will see the Quick Launch options. This

may be hidden. If you put your cursor along the

left edge the menu will display.

2. Click on Configuration to be take to the

configuration screen.

3. Click Configuration across the top of the screen.

4. Select Parts from the drop down menu.

5. Select Suppliers from the Parts menu.

6. In the top left choose your

supplier. OREILLY typically will

be in the list. If not then click

the Add button and add

OREILLY to the Suppliers and

save.

7. Under the Electronic Ordering

Interfaces, you will need to

add IAP/EZCONNECT, if it is add IAP/EZCONNECT, if it is

not already there. If it is

already in the list then you

may select it and click Edit.

8. Make sure IAP/EZConnect is selected

9. Logon, Password and IAPSellerID will need to be

supplied from First Call Support at 800-934-

2451.

10. IAPCompany will be “oreilly”. Make sure it is all

lowercase letters.

11. The System Type will be IAP

12. Click Save, then back on the Supplier Screen you

will click save as well.

13. Back on the main screen, click on Smart eCat under

Catalogs.

14. Click Configure.

15. Choose the Coverage tab.

16. Drop down the Coverage list,

if O’Reillys is not in the list,

move to step 17. If O’Reillys is

in the list move to step 23.

17. Click the AddEdit Coverages

Button.

18. Make sure the Create New Supplier option is checked.

19. Click the Next Button.

20. Type “O’REILLY”

in the Supplier

Name.

21. Click Finish.

22. On the next

screen click

Perform

Changes. Then

close and

reopen Smart

eCat.

23. From the Coverage tab under Configure,

drop down the Coverage list and choose

O’Reilly.

24. Find OREILLY in the list of Suppliers With

Online Ordering and click it to select it.

25. Click the left facing arrow to move OREILLY

to the O’Reilly coverage. Then close Smart

eCat and reopen it.

26. Click Update Coverages.

27. Find OREILLY in the list and click to select it.

28. Now click the Download and/or Update

Coverages. You will see a message that the

coverages were updated successfully. If you

get an error message, contact First Call

Support at 800-934-2451.Support at 800-934-2451.

29. Back under the Configure tab you will be

taken to the Smart Buy tab.

30. Find O’Reillys in the Available Coverage Lists

and select them by clicking.

31. Click the left arrow to move to the Included

in Smart Buy list.

32. Place a check mark to activate the supplier

and select O’Reillys.

33. Now you can move the connection up the

list to the desired ordering position.

O’Reilly Auto Parts will show up in your Smart Buy listing when looking up parts. Open Smart eCat and

choose the vehicle and part. There will be a Phone with a green check mark and green back ground when

your connection is functioning successfully. If you have any questions contact First Call Support at 800-934-
