Project
- Create an interconnected shelving display for an exclusive editor preview for Target with David Stark Design.
Our client was releasing a new "Made to Matter" line of Earth-friendly products that they wanted to pull together into a cohesive group. I designed a shelving system based on an interlocking structure that would show, metaphorically, how the different products were linked.
Project Duration: 6 weeks (design), 2 days (fabrication), 2 days (installation) 1 day (event)

Products
We were given 60 to 70 products by 19 different companies and had to pull them together in a rational way. We grouped the products into four groups and sub-divided them into units that would fit well in our system.

Installation
Because of production constraints, we needed the shelves to be low-cost, flexible, and built on-site. The initial design was based on a tinker toy. The center discs were a sandwich of plywood and CNC-cut MDF. The vertical and diagonal struts are 1/2" dowels.
