From the desk of the Director…

Happy Holidays! Here are a few updates:

1. By the time you receive this newsletter, we should be 90% done with our renovations. Since the last newsletter, the entryway and dining room have been painted, new flooring has been laid in the large activity room and the computer

lab should be almost finished. 2. As many of you may have noticed we have received new dining room chairs.

These chairs were donated to us from an anonymous donor. 3. The mail appeal letters have been sent out. Please remember that RCAC is responsible for raising 50% of our operating expenses. Any donations are greatly

appreciated. 4. I want to congratulate our volunteer of the month, Edna Kalok.

5. A listing of some of our new classes coming in January can be found on page 10. More information on these and other classes will be in our January newsletter.

Have a great month!

Stefanie

Not the usual New Years Resolutions

Let’s not start another New Year with the same old promises. Getting disappointed in yourself and calling yourself bad

names is not going to do anything to lift your spirits (and others who are affected by your moods). How about...stop doing anything that makes you feel stupid or fat. Never

to think or say anything negative about yourself. Once a month get together for champagne/chocolate/skin lotion testing with friends inviting someone you just met (and inviting your friends to do the same). Go on a once a month new experience or

adventure such as a facial, trying on a fancy dress or getting a tarot card reading.

The question “what would make you happy today” could be a good icebreaker when meeting someone new or when seeing a relative you rarely see.

How about resolving to ask yourself the same question everyday and giving it to

yourself.

What is age? It’s the smile lines on your face. It’s the joys, the wisdom, the moments that shape us and define our journey in life. Like you, everyone at Presbyterian SeniorCare Network has been shaped by our moments, continually etched by every smile we bring and every opportunity we bring to life.

90 Years. Countless Moments
