For this Summer in particular, our Friday Night Music Series promises to be extra special. Stacy has reached out

to a wide variety of new and exciting talent throughout the Northwest. In fact, with the exception of two local

acts, all of the musicians you’ll see at Three Rivers Winery this summer have performed, or will be performing,

at esteemed music festivals such as “Treefort Music Fest” and “Timber! Outdoor Music Festival”, as well as the

iconic KEXP radio station in Seattle, WA. The pedigree of talent is very high, the styles are very diverse, and

we hope this influx of unique acts will be an exciting breath of fresh air and fun for the Walla Walla Valley and

guests who are visiting the area.

Greetings from Walla Walla,

Well, life has done a 180 and this is an unprecedented moment in our

history as a winery and as a community. We’re all losing sleep, missing

close connections and aching for those in our industry who have been

hit the hardest. Right now, with the tasting room and winery closed,

we find solace in the social contact we do have with our production

employees and family at home. We are thankful for the commitment,

sacrifice and tireless determination of our healthcare community

during this pandemic which is inspirational. United together, we will

weather this storm and look forward to brighter days ahead.

On the flipside, we’re still looking forward (even more so now!) to a

warm, inviting summer here in Walla Walla. Our concert series kicks

off Friday, June 19th and will continue every Friday evening through

September 11th. As always, we will have food available for purchase,

so be prepared to bring your family & friends to spend some quality

time with us.

Each year we taste through every barrel in our cellar and rate them by color, aromatics,

flavors, varietal and site accuracy, balance, intensity and complexity. The highest

rated wines become candidates for Svelte, our flagship red blend. Our 2017 vintage

showcases black cherry, espresso and anise with mouthwatering richness throughout

the palate. The finish is firm yet ripe with structured tannins and soft acidity. Cellar for

a few years to allow this wine to fully develop.

Petit Verdot is known primarily as a blending grape for the Bordeaux varieties. It adds

color, fruit and weight to the palate. But when bottled on its own, Petite Verdot has a

depth and juiciness that is pretty amazing. Our 2018 Walla Walla Valley Petit Verdot

from Seven Hills Vineyard is impenetrably dark with powerful currant, mixed berry pie

aromatics and flavors. It is thick and commanding with juicy ripe fruit, a hint of floral

and tea leaves and lush tannins with a long, dusty finish.

All of the fruit for the 2019 Riesling was sourced from the Bacchus Vineyard located

near Pasco, WA on southwest-facing hillsides above the Columbia River. After harvest,

the grapes were whole-cluster pressed and the juice was allowed to settle before racking

off the solids. We inoculated with a Riesling-specific yeast and fermented the juice at

a relatively cool temperature. Fermentation was then stopped to soften the wine’s crisp

acidity. Aromas of crunchy Asian pear, stone fruit and white blossom lead to a beautiful

off-dry mouth filling experience of juicy stone fruits. A bright, balanced wine with crisp

acidity on the finish.
