ABOUT CHRIS WILLIAMS In 2006, Chris Williams joined Oregon’s renowned Brooks Wine as the vineyard’s full-time winemaker. With the unexpected passing of owner Jimi Brooks, Chris organized and led an extraordinary group of Willamette Valley winemakers who donated their time and talent to help Jimi’s vision continue. Chris originally began working with Jimi Brooks at WillaKenzie Estate, later joining him at Maysara Winery. He has brought continuity in philosophy from working closely with Jimi over the years, keeping Brooks Wines consistent; crafted in the traditional, elegant style that has won awards and acclaim across the world of wine.

ABOUT JANIE BROOKS-HEUCK A tragic twist of fate and family circumstances thrust Janie Brooks-Heuck into the wine business. The sudden death of her brother Jimi in 2004 made Janie responsible for the business operations of the family winery. Over the next 11 years she learned the winery business inside-out and has built Brooks Wine into one of the most prolific and thriving wineries in the Willamette Valley. Her amazing story is the subject of a 2014 documentary film “American Wine Story” and an episode of the Fox television show “Strange Inheritance”. Janie is a director of the International Riesling Foundation, a past director of the Oregon Pinot Camp, and serves on the media committee for the International Pinot Noir Celebration.
