ON JOB TRAINING:

Six weeks long training at UNITED SPIRITS LTD. (SHAW WALLACE), BHADRAKALI: During training I worked in distilled liquor bottling plant (McDowells, White Mischief, Royal Challenge, Antiquity), quality control, DM plant & office dealing with excise duty (2007).

PROJECT

Institute: Dolphin (P.G.) College of Life Sciences, under Punjabi University, Patiala. Project Title:‘Cider wine production using different yeast strains & comparing their efficiency, testing their antimicrobial activity towards E.coli’. Duration: 6 months (2007-08). (Project paper has since been accepted by reputed journal ‘FOOD AND BEVERAGE WORLD’).

WORK EXPERIENCE

1. Worked as ‘Assistant Production Manager’ in MPS Food Products ltd.(an FMCG) In spices division, looking after total automation of plant, FFS, Pulvarizer, Tray Dryer etc., Production planning and labour hiring / management from Feb, 2009 to January 2010.

2. Worked as a ‘Shift Brewer’ in Master (India) Brewing Company, Guwahati from November 2010 till June 2011. Handled brewing, fermentation, filtration departments individually in shifts for commercial beer brands like SAB MILLER (Haywards 5000 & knockout) and UNITED BREWERIES (Kingfisher and Kalyani black Label) at startup. Trouble shooting and optimization of process with PLC SCADA operated brewhouse.

3. Worked as ‘Quality Assurance Executive’ with CARLSBERG INDIA PVT LTD., Alwar, Rajasthan till Jan’2012.Handling independent shifts in QC and QA in process, raw & packaging material inspection, microbiological and sensory analysis of beer, production related quality assurance for commercial brands like CARLSBERG, TUBORG (strong & green), PALONE 8 and OKOCIM PALONE,supplied to 18 states with plant capacity over 6 lac cases/month. Working in close coordination with manufacturing, brewing and procurement departments.

4. Worked as a ‘Shift Brewer’ in United Breweries Ltd, Goa from February 2012 till December 2012, engaged in manufacturing of global brands like Kingfisher premium,

Kingfisher strong and London pilsner catering for different parts of India in commercially bottled and draught beer.

5. Working as Lead Brewer in Flambos Microbrewery under Mango Hospitality, Pune. In charge of manufacturing of large array of craft beers ranging from lagers, ales, stouts, meads and cider in plant with capacity of 7300 ltrs. Kegging and distribution of draft beers across 5 serving facilities outside the containment facility also carried out along with microbiological, sensory testing, R&D and conceptualization of projects in line to come up in parallel with the present facility, since December 2012. Handling setup commissioning of 2nd project within city limits Pubtown with 9000 ltrs storage capacity.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Member of PRODEX 2012, for Carlsberg India pvt ltd., for product and process excellence services in breweries across India.

Responsible for increasing line efficiency in UB, Goa giving an output in bottling over 102% and setting new production record in a shift.

Responsible increasing efficiency of brewing process in Cerveza Breweries, pune by modifying process and substantially reduce process time by 19 hrs for a batch and increase yield per batch by 20%.
