CURRENT CONTROL MEASURES: § The premises is managed and run by experienced, competent and trained people § Cleaning & other checks are undertaken regularly by staff and managers, documented and managed by using

a series of “checklists” – monitored by managers and supervisors. § Pond area is securely fenced-off, no member of public allowed in the area. § Pond pier has high fencing with no facility to climb over § Warning signage requesting children to be supervised § Flotation device placed in a prominent location. § Grassed areas kept cut and flat as is practicable. § Pathways are clearly marked, defined and have signage. § Contractors undertake a Fire Risk Assessment § Fire Alarm, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and emergency plan in place § PAT testing and periodic testing inspection of the electrical installation.

§ Trained and experienced staff only move large animals § Handling is within designated areas, with provision of suitable hot-water and soap washing facilities on the

exit points, accompanied by signage and information throughout the site. § Animal pens and paths where meeting pens are kept clean, with build-up of faeces not allowed.

Documented checks undertaken. § Removal of droppings etc. from fences and picnic areas. § No contact with stressed animals. § School trips are chaperoned with staff and school staff. § Harmful substances (cleaning fluids etc.) are kept in locked area, away from public. § Gates and rails regularly cleaned and weekly disinfected. § Dedicated and segregated eating areas (café and picnic) § Regular & documented cleaning regime. § Biting risk animals (e.g. ferrets) for attraction / display purposes only § Animals in enclosures with strong fencing § Veterinary medicines by vet only § Additional warning / instructional signage situated on fences
