ThisisexactlywhathappenedintheAmericanRevolu<on,thepeopleofAmericafoughtfortheirrightsandtheirfreedomandeventually
becametheirowncountrythroughthewinningoftheRevolu<onaryWar.
MarriageThisstorycontainsathemeofmarriage.ThewholereasonRipVanWinkleleaveshomeandwalksintotheforestisbecauseheis<redofhiswife,Dame’s,nagging.Inthisstory,marriageisn’tconsidereda
goodthing,butinstead,it’sconsideredanundesirablechore.ManyquotesfromthestorytellRip’sfeelingstowardshiswife,includingtheonesbelow.Inthisstory,marriageisn’tconsidereda
