Sub-sampling of the water samples were done as follows:

1) Aliquots were sampled in gas tight glass bulbs for CH4 analyses.

2) Aliquots were sampled into acid washed Nalgene bottles for Mn analyses.

3) Aliquots were sampled into Nalgene bottles for pH, CO2 and total alkalinity the one hand and for SiO2 analyses and

archiving.
