Goal #2 Improve beginning
Reading and Math skills
Literacy and Math Matter at Riley At Riley, we READ! This year we have enjoyed having a partnership with the Ellen Woodside Stu-dent Council for monthly “Riley Readers”.
More than 97% of Riley 4K students are able to recognize at least 20 letters in random order
More than 97% of students are able to count 10 objects
ALL Riley students made measurable progress in both literacy and math!
Respect and Responsibility…
Taught Here!
Our Thanksgiving Food drive is a special
opportunity for the families in our school to
provide can foods that are given back out to
families in our immediate community by
Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Riley’s Code of Conduct Our goals are to build self disciple, respect for oth-
ers, and to develop individual responsibility. Clear
and consistent expectations and routines provide a
framework for responsible student behavior. Sim-
ple classroom rules are developed with the stu-
dents at the beginning of the year. Individual and
small group problem solving is effectively incorpo-
rated by the classroom teachers and administration
to resolve conflict. At time, individual behavior
plans are implemented to assist children in making
better choices. In the event that a behavior be-
comes and issue beyond our proactive approach,
we will refer to the Greenville County School Dis-
trict’s Code of Conduct which can be found pub-
lished in the Parent Express newsletter and online
at www.greenville.k12.sc.us .
