Rika  and  I  By:  Moka  

Here  is  a  story  about  two  girls  who  are  just  like  twins  that  get  twisted  up  in  a  really  weird  dream.  Read  It!  Read  It!  Read  It!      Rika  and  I  are  BFF’s.  WE  are  the  coolest  and  best  friends  in  the  world.  She  even  lives  in  my  neighbor  hood.  We  always  think  the  same  thing.  It  was  like  we  were  sisters  even  more  than  sisters,  but  twins.    So  one  day  we  decided  to  have  a  sleepover.  I  went  over  to  Rika’s  house  and  played  played  played  until  we  thought  we  would  die  of  playing.    We  watched  a  movie  called  “  The  Evil  Gingerbreads.”  Two  girls  our  age  get  lost  in  a  maze  and  found  a  lost  gingerbread  man  who  helped  them,  but  is  actually  evil  so  he  walked  them  towards  a  ditch  and  pushed  one  girl  in  the  ditch.  The  other  girl  had  no  choice.  She  couldn’t  leave  her  bestie    behind  so  she  kicked  the  evil  ginger  bread  mas  shin  then  jumped  in  while  calling  her  name.        I  jump  on  the  coutch  while  Rika  turns  off  the  TV  and  snuggles  in  the  couch  somemore.  Now  that  was  an  exiting  movie  Rika  says  while  flashing  my  a  sleepy  smile.      “I  am  tired,”  I  said  in  a  drowsy  voice,  while  pulling  up  my  blanket  a  bit  closer  to  my  neck.      “Mee  tooo!  I  am  so  tired,”  rika  also  says.    “Want  to  go  to  bed?”  I  replied.      “Sure.”  Her  voice  sounded  like  she  was  unsure,  but  she  went  to  bed  and  fell  into  a  deep  sleep  in  one  second.      I  soon  fell  asleep.  But  woke  up  at  the  sound  of  singing  and  light  coming  out  of  a  door  on  the  wall  that  I  never  ever  saw.  I  went  in  to  see  what  it  was  on  the  other  side  of  the  door  and  found  candy  all  other  the  place.  My  wish  came  true  finally  I  was  in  candy  land.  I  saw  the  door  open  and  

saw  Rika’s  head  pop  out.  I  looked  at  my  left  to  see  a  gingerbread  man  coming  towards  me.  I  looked  at  the  nametag  on  his  suit,  which  said  Mr.  Gumdrop.  While  Rika  asked  many  questions  I  on  the  other  hand  was  studying  Mr.  Gumdrop.  He  looked  very  very  familiar.  He  was  very  tall  he  was  also  very  mean  looking  even  when  he  smiled.  I  saw  that  he  was  missing  half  of    his  gumdrop  button.  I  also  saw  that  he  had  every  single  candy  on  him.  I  didn’t  like  him  even  though  I  never  met  him.  He  just  didn’t  look  like  a  good  person  and  how  could  you  trust  a  ginger  bread  man  that  is  taller  than  you?  How  can  you  trust  I  walking  candy?  I  mean  who  does?  He  ignored  Rika  and  started  to  say,  “I  am  Mr.  Gumdrop  I  come  in  peace.  This  candy  land  is  for  only  the  good  girls  and  boys  who  come  to  get  a  treat  at  night.  Let  me  be  your  guide  for  tonight.  It  will  be  a  bit  dark  so  bring  glow  in  the  dark  gummies.  We  will  go  through  a  maze  so  you  should  bring  so  twizzle  tress  or  any  other  candy.”        Awesome!  I  look  at  the  huge  gumdrop  seats  and  gummy  tables.  I  run  towards  the  table  gummies  and  gumdrop  seats.  I  gobble  up  the  huge  gumdrop  seat  while  grabbing  some  more.  I  went  into  a  supply  store  with  gummy  backpacks.  I  got  I  big  green  and  blue  gummy  backpack  for  free  and  stuffed  the  glow  and  the  dark  gummies  with  a  bunch  of  candy  too.  After  rika  got  hers  we  started  to  walk  when  I  asked  “Rika  why  there  was  no  people  except  Mr.  Gumdrop?”  She  didn’t  answer  so  I  turned  to  look  at  her  when  I  saw  that  her  mouth  was  full  of  candy  while  shrugging  her  shoulders.  I  look  to  see  the  empty  houses  with  a  little  worry  line  on  my  face.  Why  aren’t  there  people?  This  town  is  a  bit  creepier  than  I  thought!  Why  is  Rika  acting  so  normal  when  at  other  places  so  cautious  I  thought?    “Moka  Moka!  Wake  up  stop  going  into  doo  doo  land!  We  are  going  into  the  maze  now!!!!”  Rika  said  extremely  excitedly.    “Wow”...    I  saw  sarcastically.  I  thought  what  is  the  point  in  going  through  a  maze  when  we  have  al  the  candy,  milk  and  soda  in  candy  town.  And  what  is  up  with  Mr.  Gumdrop?  He  keeps  on  glancing  back  at  us  every  few  minutes!    

We  finally  arrived  at  a  grand  pixie  stick  door.  Mr.  Gumdrop  looked  back  at  me  then  Rika  and  just  nodded  his  head  to  come  in.  What  is  his  problem?  Why  doesn’t  he  talk?  This  town  is  so  creepy.  I  don’t  want  to  go  into  the  maze  anymore.  I  grabbed  Rika’s  hand  and  gripped  it  so  strongly  that  when  I  let  go  it  made  my  handprint.  Mr.  Gumdrop  went  inside  followed  by  Rika  and  I.  The  hallway  kept  on  getting  darker  and  darker  till  I  couldn’t  see  anything  except  rika’s  hand  which  was  holding  my  hand  very  very  firmly.  I  am  scared  Rika  whispered  in  my  ear.  Mee  Too!  I  say  I  soon  took  out  my  glow  in  the  dark  gummy  and  shone  it  at  Mr.  Gumdrop  whose  face  turned  into  an  evil  grin.  Uh  where  are  we  going  I  said  in  a  nervous  tone?      We  are  going  to  the  exit  where  you  will  find  the  most  candy  in  the  world.  He  said  “Ok”  I  say  letting  go  of  Rika’s  hand.  “We  are  almost  there  girls”  Mr.  Gumdrop  says  in  an  evil  voice  “Almost  there!”  he  screeches.  “Aaaaaah,  this  is  just  like  the  movie  we  watched!  We  broth  scream  as  we  run  away.    You  can’t  get  away  from  me  because  there  is  a  BIG  BLACK  HOLE  right  underneath  you.      I  turn  to  see  Rika  look  down  say  one  last  word  “  Moka!”  I  am  so  stupid  how  could  I  trust  that  gingerbread  man.  Why  didn’t  you  just  trust  your  instincts?  Now  you  ruined  your,  Bff’s  life  and  yours.  So  stupid.  I  wake  up  screaming.  OMG,  OMG,  OMG,  OMG.    I  can’t  believe  Rika  died.  I  hate  that  evil  ginger  bred  man.  He  is  so  evil  I  thought  angrily.    Then  I  cried  out  “I  lost  Rika.”  Then  I  hear  Rika  yell  out  saying  she  lost  me.    What?  I  say  confused!  I  thought  you  died  in  the  ditch  that  the  evil  gingerbread  man  made.    No  I  thought  you  died  in  the  ditch  she  said  in  a  voice  that  almost  made  me  believe  that  that  was  true.  

 Well  I  didn’t,  cause  I  am  here.  I  am  not  dead!  I  say.    Well  I  am  glad  that  it  was  a  dream.  Rika  said    That  was  a  really  creepy  dream  I  exclaimed!    What  was  wrong  with  that  gingerbread  man  rika  says  in  a  angry  tone.      I  pull  something  squishy  out  of  my  pocket  and  realize  that  it  was  a  gumdrop.  OMG  this  is  from  candy  land  I  say  it  looks  exactly  like  the  ones  in  the  evil  candy  land  world.      Rika  pulls  out  a  glow  in  the  dark  gummy  from  her  pocket.      WE  both  scream  at  the  same  time  “  The  dream  was  not  a  dream  it  was  real!”    Oh  ya  Rika  laughs  as  I  keep  on  screaming  this  is  not  from  candy  land  it  is  from  yesterday  while  we  were  trying  to  find  something  to  eat  in  the  pantry.    Oh  Ya  I  say  stupidly  and  start  to  laugh  with  my  BFF.  I  guess  this  is  what  true  friends  are  for.  I  smile  while  thinking  I  have  the  best  friend  in  the  world.  This  story  is  all  about  how  rika  and  I  are  truly  friends.  

          The  End    P.S.  We  actually  had  the  same  dream  so  don’t  make  fun  of  it.  It  was  real  to  us  and  we  did  have  the  same  dream.  So  TeeHee!!!!
