OpenText RightFax Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager

The Infront Consulting RightFax Management Pack (MP) allows System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to:

• Discover RightFax servers• Alert for potential server issues which in turn reduces outages

By utilizing the RightFax MP, customers can feel secure knowing their RightFax environments are being proactively monitored and avoid costly outages.

For organizations without SCOM installed, Infront Consulting offers a remote RightFax monitoring solution as a monthly monitoring service.

The RightFax MP includes an extensive set of discoveries, rules, monitors, views, dashboard, and knowledge to monitor RightFax. This MP will provide insight into the entire RightFax implementation.

NEW FEATURES:

Dashboard View provides the health and performance of RightFax in a unified display for your entire RightFax server infrastructure.

Performance Data is collected via the RightFax COM API. These counters aren’t natively exposed by RightFax or the operating system. View faxes sent/received per server to make capacity planning and purchasing decisions.

Synthetic Fax Transactions allow SCOM to send a test fax from one channel to another and confirm receipt. By utilizing the MP, you can validate the availability of the entire RightFax environment health with one monitor.

Send Test Faxes override is now available which allows the operator to configure a different User and Routing Code number to use during the send fax portion of the Synthetic Fax Transaction. It also allows the operator to configure the number of tests and timeouts used for sending and receiving based on your needs.

Monitoring

Once the RightFax Server components have been discovered in your environment, monitoring occurs automatically. All services of the RightFax Server environment are monitored for availability, performance and known error conditions.

Fax Error Monitor: Monitor all User Groups, and the faxes contained in them, to obtain information about status and health.

Fax Error Events Rules: Alerting rules are included to monitor the fax transaction and conversion errors.

Data Visualization
