Standard Ridge AnglesRoof Angles are usually given by their pitch (the angle at the eaves). The main ridge angle is the internal angle at the apex (180 minus twice roof pitch).
As a guide the table below gives the most suitable standard ridge angle for use on hips.

Clay ridge tiles and finials are manufactured to comply with EN 1304 : 1998 and BS 402 : Part 1 : 1990.
For the correct use and fixing of ridge tiles reference should be made to BS 5534-1 : 1997 Code of Practice for Slating and Tiling, Design and BS 8000-6 : 1990 Workmanship on building sites. Code of practice for slating and tiling of roofs and claddings.

Other Hanson Red Bank Roofing Products
To meet modern day ventilation requirements, Hanson Red Banks vent ridge can be supplied to suit all patterns of ridge tiles. A key feature of its design is the ventilation opening hidden within the mortar bed, which allows a continuous and uninterrupted ridge line to be maintained.
Dry Fix Ridge System
Low Resistance Gas Ridge Terminal
Where both rigorous fixing requirements are demanded and ventilation is needed, a Dry Fix Ridge system is available. All Hanson Red Bank ridge
patterns can be supplied in the Dry Fix format and all fixings are completely concealed leaving the appearance of a traditionally tiled roof.
The Hanson Red Bank Low Resistance Terminal is approved by British Gas and complies with all requirements of BS : 1289.
It is suitable for use with all domestic gas appliances with outlet diameter of up to 125mm.
