GRATITUDE SUNDAY This Sunday our “Keep the Faith, Create the Future” building campaign begins its active phase. The theme of Gratitude invites us to remember and value what God has done in our lives through Jesus. We recall our friend Jesus and our friends in the faith. One exercise to prepare us for worship is to count (recall) our blessings. As the old hymn says, “Name them one by one… see what God has done.” When you enter the church this Sunday, look around for displays showing the gratitude responses of our children and youth. They will remain on display throughout the campaign and will appear on our church website and Facebook page. Every adult will have an opportunity this Sunday during worship to complete a Gratitude Card. On it you will find two statements to complete:
- What I am most thankful for… - What I most love about my church….
During the serving of communion everyone is invited to complete his/her card, then bring it forward and leave it at the altar. We will display these gratitude cards, along with those prepared by our children and youth.

RHUMC Employment Opportunity
It is with mixed emotion that we begin the search for a new church secretary. We are sad to have Jill (and Brian) Niswonger leave Richmond Hill, but are excited for them as they prepare to relocate to Germany for Brian's new assignment with the Army. We thank them for all of their contributions to RHUMC and wish for them much happiness as they experience a new chapter in their lives. Are you looking for a full-time job here in Richmond Hill? After reading a brief overview of the job found below, do you know someone that "fits the bill"? To see the whole job description, email the Staff-Parish Relations Committee or stop by the church office. Interested candidates may apply to the Staff-Parish Relations Committee by submitting a resume via email to [email protected]. The RHUMC secretary position is considered full time and requires 36 hours per week. The RHUMC secretary is first and foremost the assistant to the senior pastor and completes any and all tasks assigned by him/her. The secretary is also often the first person visitors and newcomers encounter at the church, whether by phone or in person, and is therefore an important part of the church’s public image and out-reach. Empathy and discretion, a positive attitude, strong problem solving ability and excellent interpersonal skills are critical qualifications. As stated previously, interested candidates may apply to the Staff-Parish Relations Committee by submitting a resume via email to [email protected].
During March, The Way Station is requesting packages of instant potatoes and Rice-a-Roni. You can bring your donations to your Sunday school room or the church office. Thank you!
