Summer Camps at Water’s Edge! Did you know that our church's Christian campgrounds, Water's Edge, has gobs of great stuff planned for kids this summer?! Their program is specially designed for those who have just finished 1st - 6th Grades! There'll be swimming in the lake, paintball for the older kids, crafts, songs, hikes, cool counsel- ors from Olivet Nazarene University, yummy camp food, special messages about the Lord, and tons of friends just waiting to meet you! See Mrs. Joy Burger for information about assistance with camp costs. CAMP DISCOVERY (Completed grades 1-2) Dates: July 18-19 Cost: $100 This camp is structured to give the youngest of our campers an introduction to the Water's Edge Camp experience. An overnight kid's camp that includes the following activities: swimming, the use of our awesome water slide, chapel, camp games and singing around a cozy campfire. Even at this age your child will have an excellent experience learning the value of trust and friendship in a totally secure environ- ment. Chapel service by "Totally Bananas"! CHAMP CAMP (Completed grades 3-4) Dates: July 14-18 Cost: $200 Description: This will be a week to remember as campers experience exciting adventures such as the 30’ climbing wall, archery, 40’ waterslide, and canoe- ing. Your kids will stay active throughout this week as they are challenged to achieve their personal and team goals. By the end of this week your camper will have confidence they are a Champ in Christ! Chapel services will be presented by "Totally Bananas"! LEAP WEEK (Completed grades 5-6) Dates: June 16-21 Cost: $250 Description: This will be an exciting week packed full of adventure and fun! Your camper will have the opportunity to participate in: archery, paintball, 30’ climbing wall, high ropes challenge course & zipline, waterslide, and canoeing. This camp is specifically structured to help kids make the "leap" between childhood and adolescence. Chapel Services by "Team Extreme.” Richfield Women’s Ministries Out of the Boxes & Into the Books Scrapbooking Friday, May 10th from 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. Whether you are a beginner just sorting and organizing your pictures or a skilled scrap booker, come and join us for an evening of fellowship! Richfield Primetimer’s A Mexican Celebration “Cinco De Mayo” On Monday, May 6th, meet at 12:00 pm at El Cozumel Mexican Grill in the Courtland Center, 4190 E. Court St. The cost for lunch is $5.00 for the special, or you may order off the menu. Sign up at the Welcome Center by Sunday, April 28th. Potluck On Tuesday, May 21st, there will be a potluck at 12:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Baked Chicken and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass and some games. This camp is designed to equip your teen with spiritual direction in an often confusing world. This will be the ultimate camp experience! Financial Freedom Seminar

There is still time to sign up for the Crown Financial Freedom Seminar on

Friday, May 3rd, from 6:00-9:00 pm and Saturday, May 4th, from 9:00 am-

12:00 pm. A couple may now attend for only $25, (by sharing a single

workbook). Crown recommends that you each have your own workbook. If

you prefer to have your own workbook, then the cost remains at $50 a

couple. If you need childcare, please indicate on your registration form, since it is

available. Please contact Russ Perry for more information at (810)577-9607.

CPR (Includes using an AED) Class Offered

Saturday, May 11th, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm; class will be at Richfield

Church in the Fellowship Hall. Cost for the class is $25/person. A certification

card will be given after the class. Please sign up & pay at the Welcome

Center.

Patriotic Musical “I Salute You”

Open to all who like to sing from age 14 to 114 years of age. Practices will

be on Sunday afternoons from 4:30-5:45 pm starting May 5th in the Choir

Room, located right behind the sanctuary platform. The Musical will be

performed on Sunday, July 7th at 10:30 am. (No practices on Mother’s Day,

Father’s Day, and Memorial Day Weekend).

Richfield Run/Walk/Bike Group beginning soon

Let’s get active together! The Richfield Run/Walk/Bike group will meet at

Richfield Park, Pavilion #5, at 6:00 pm every Thursday (rain or shine) for

fun and fellowship. No matter what your condition or age, come and

join us for an hour of activity. Bring the kids—and even the dog—if you

want. Watch for a start date...we’re ready to get on the move!

11th Annual Baby Bottle Campaign

The annual Baby Bottle campaign will begin Mother’s Day, and run

until Father’s Day. This program is designed to raise money for the

Pregnancy Center of Lapeer that communicates the gospel of Jesus

Christ to women, men and children affected by an unplanned

pregnancy. Bottles will be distributed as you leave the sanctuary on Sunday, May

12th. Please fill your bottle with extra change and return it on Sunday, June 16th.

Mother’s Day

The evening Worship service will be lifted on Sunday, May 12th, so that you may

spend this evening with your family. Have a Happy Mother’s Day.

Eastside Mission Fundraiser at Wojo’s

Wojo’s Garden Splendors is hosting a fundraiser for the Flint Eastside

Mission. They will earn 10% from each sale if you tell them at the

checkout you are shopping to benefit the Eastside Mission. Shop on

Wednesday or Thursday, May 22nd and 23rd, at any of the three Wojo’s locations,

Davison, Ortonville, or Lake Orion.

Volunteer Week at Water’s Edge Camp is Here! MAY 20-25, 2013

Here is an opportunity to participate in some service projects that will benefit the

camp and get you, your family or church group outdoors and serving others. The

work done this week will reach so many all summer who come to Water's Edge

Camp to be ministered to. Camping is free during this week of volunteer activity for

those participating. Projects include: painting, cleaning, gardening, etc. If you are

willing and available to participate at any level for this week please contact Rob

Memorial Day

There will be no evening service on Sunday, May 26th, due to the Memorial

Weekend.
