RICHARDSON CHAMBER PLAYERS PRESENT “MELTING POT”
On Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 3pm, the Richardson Chamber Players will present an eclectic program paying
tribute to the cultural melting pot of the North American continent through chamber works by Charles Ives,
William Bolcolm and Paquito D’Rivera, sponsored by Princeton University Concerts, in Richardson
Auditorium in Alexander Hall. Tickets are just $15 General / $5 Students.
Formed in 1994-95, this mixed ensemble comprises Princeton’s esteemed performance faculty, distinguished
guest artists, and supremely talented Princeton students. This first of three Richardson Chamber Players programs
this season will feature soprano Sarah Pelletier, pianist Geoffrey Burleson, violinist Anna Lim, cellist Susannah
Chapman, trumpeter Wayne DuMaine, horn player Chris Komer, trombonist Benjamin Herrington, tuba
player Brian Brown, and percussionist John Ferrari. The other two concerts in the Richardson Chamber Player
series will take place on February 19, 2017 and April 9, 2017. Further information is available at
princetonuniversityconcerts.org.
Offering these Sunday afternoon concerts in celebration of the talents of the Princeton University Department of
Music has become a beloved tradition for the university, Princeton University Concerts, and the local community.
Few other ensembles can boast as diverse a range of performers, allowing for access to repertoire for rarely-
performed instrumental arrangements. A Richardson Chamber Music Players program is a chance to hear
extraordinary music seldom heard elsewhere, performed by renowned musicians from our own community.
