This marks our tenth year selling Red Angus seed stock in a production sale and we are bringing it home to the farm. We would like to thank all of you who have had a part in our quest to get to where we are today! Most of all we thank the good Lord for his grace and provision in our lives! Our passion is to continue to get better at every aspect of raising and marketing Red Angus cattle. We hope by bringing the sale to our farm you can get to know us better and see how we operate. We will also have the cattle videotaped and sold on DV auction. You will also be able to go to our new web site and view the catalog. The bulls in this years sale will include twenty seven ET bulls of which many are full sibs. We are also introducing progeny from our two young herd sires RRA Absolute Power 125 and RRA Crimson Tide 135. One of our repeat customers was here for a tour a couple week’s ago and said “Thats the deepest set of bulls yet”. Jane and I will also be offering all our A I and natural bred heifers. Welcome to the first Rich Red Angus Production Sale to be held at the farm. Kaye and I are very excited and humbled to be involved with this sale and we are very confident that you will be able to find genetics in this offering that will fit your program. I have been asked multiple times, why are they moving the sale to their farm and “going it alone”? The reason is very simple; it is the natural progression of life that has brought about these changes. Kurt and Jane have been blessed with an outstanding family and as that family has matured, some of the “boys” have stepped into a larger role in the Rich Red Angus program. With the addition of more cattle, wives and grandchildren, it is a natural progression for them to take this step. With that all said, I invite you to study the catalog and the offering held within it. I am very confident that you will find both bulls and females that will be excellent additions to your herd and move your program up to the next level. The Rich family has been very aggressive in their genetic selections, using embryo transfer and artificial insemination to maximize their very best genetics for you. It is not very often as a sale manager that I get to see the cattle that we sell from the time that they are baby calves, at weaning, partially through their feed test and just prior to the sale. I believe that you will be impressed with this entire group as a whole. Kurt is a very humble man and doesn’t like to brag on his own herd, so I will! This is no doubt the deepest set of bulls that the Rich program has EVER offered. There are bulls that will go on to headline other purebred programs as well as bulls that will make a big advancement for their commercial customers for years to come. The first six bulls in the sale are out of RRA Phyllis 47 116. She topped the Mile High Sale in Denver, selling a flush interest to 3J Farms and Shepard Settlement Farm. RRA 342 is a full sib to lot 322. If you are wanting to make some females, I just have to beleive that this mating is going to work. ME epd is in the top 2% of the breed. 342 scanned 4.93 IMF ratio 130, REA 11.97 ratio. One thing I need too point out is these bulls were not fed any creep feed through the drought last summer soo weaning and yearling weights are not as high as they could have been but as you study these bulls they look like bulls not like steers. On 1/6/14 the bulls ADG was 3.22lb/day! Retaining 50% semen interest.

RRA 344 is a flush mate to lots 324 and 337. There is a lot of history of success in this pedigree with two of the most proven animals represented through the legendary sires of high Capacity 008 and New Trend 22D.
