presentation program developedby

Microsoft , and runs on

Microsoft Windows and

Apple’s Mac OS X

operating system.




PowerPoint uses a graphicalapproach to presentations in the

form of

slide shows . This program

is widely used in

business andclassrooms and is an effective tool

when used for training purposes.




HOW DO YOU START?




FIND AND APPLY ATEMPLATE

You don’t have to start from scratch.




Click File tab




Click New




Click Sample templates




Choose a template according to your need




Click Create




Use a template… if you want to kick -off your

presentation and focus on thecontent

… if there’s a template fit to the

purpose of your presentation




CREATE A BLANK PRESENTATION

If you have a very specific purpose in mind you can also




Click File tab




Click New




Click Blank presentation




Click Create




INSERT A NEW SLIDE

When you’ve chosen your template or created a blank presentation




On the Home tab, in the Slides group,click the arrow beside New Slide




Click the slide layout that you want




ADD TEXT TO THE SLIDE

Put in the title and content of your presentation

The dotted border is theplaceholder where you can type

your text




Click inside the placeholder andtype your text




CHANGE THE FONT OF YOUR TEXT

If you don’t like the way the text looks




Select the text you want to change




On the Home tab, in the Font group,click the arrow beside the font




Select and click the font that you want




You can also change the size orcolor of your text…
