Dollars for Scholars
Congratulations to the 4th grade class for raising the
most money for our Dollars for Scholars competition.
RLES was raising money to support our Rib Lake sen-
iors who will be attending a two year tech school or four
year college. We hope that this helps the students see
the importance of investing in the community that we
live in. Once again this year, the 5th grade students will
be reading through the scholarship applications to deter-
mine the recipient or recipients of the award. Two fifth
graders will also be presenting the scholarship/s to the
recipient/s on awards night. Thank you to all that sent
money in with their student! The 4th grade loved their
prize of duct taping Mr. Dallmann and Mrs. Wendland
to the wall along with a pizza party.
RLES & RLMS were represented at the regional spelling
bee by (l to r) Anna Hoffland, Autumn Ochodnicky, Theo
Robisch, and Bud Schreiner. 5th Grade - Hearts of Kindness

Our students enjoyed a week of Dr. Seuss activities
that ended Friday afternoon with Seuss Olympics.
Ron Sromek and Rebecca Zuleger gave a presentation on
trapping and animal identification. Ron is a certified in-
structor with the Wisconsin Cooperative Trapper Education
Program.
Chris Cold from the DNR Wildlife Education Program
came to RLES to talk to the 2nd grade about owls.
Rebecca Walker visited the Kindergarten class to talk
about dental hygiene.
We have a variety of Redmen clothing and items including
t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, polos, and stadium seats
that would make great Easter gifts for your student. If you
would like to take a look at these items, please stop by the
elementary school and check out the display case!
Directory Information
There are many times when the school would like to
recognize students publicly for their accomplishments.
This may be displayed in the school, on the school web-
site, in school newsletters, and/or shared with the media.
In releasing directory data to media, your passive per-
mission is required. Directory information includes
student name, address, telephone number, birth date,
participation in special activities, dates of attendance
and photographs. Any parent NOT wanting this infor-
mation, or parts of it, released must make such a request
in writing to the principal.
Congratulations to the Rib Lake Boys
Basketball team on becoming Regional Champs
this season!
Good Luck to our track, softball, and base-
ball athletes as they begin their upcoming seasons!
DonorsChoose Rib Lake Elementary would like to thank
DonorsChoose.org and its supporters for helping our edu-
cators! DonorsChoose.org is a website that helps to con-
nect teachers with people willing to financially support
the classroom projects. Rib Lake Elementary has now
had a couple of different classroom projects funded
through the support of people donating on Do-
norsChoose.org. We have had donations from people as
far away as New York supporting our teacher’s
ideas! We currently have one project on the website that
has been selected either by a company or celebrity that
will be matching each donation for a flexible seating pro-
ject! Here is a quick link to DonorsChoose.org, I encour-
age you to check out the website and see how it works!
