&his competition is open to the top eight Groups from each of the two *ll-around eercises. * nalran4ing is esta lished at the close of each of the two 5inals ' apparatus, and %3)/.

Individuals and Goups *ll *round competitions only are part of the 6lympic program. In addition,the participation is limited to )7 individuals and $) groups.

9enalties are issued when, for e ample, a gymnast loses control of an apparatus, it goes out of ounds, an unauthorised or ro4en apparatus is used or when it hits the ceiling. ommunicationetween coach and gymnast or etween gymnasts during an e ercise is also sanctioned.

Re erence +udges

* Reference "udges; <ystem has een introduced to esta lish an automatic, and time-saving,correction system in case of pro lems with E ecution scores. *ll Reference 8udges will eappointed y the 5IG. &he Reference score is calculated y ta4ing the average of the ) Reference

8udges; mar4s. &he E-score and the R-score are compared according to the Reference "udges;<ystem R"</. If the gap etween the E-score and the R-score e ceeds the pre-de ned permittedtolerances, the E-score will e replaced y the average of the R-score and the E-score. 6therwisethe E ecution 8udges; score will remain unchanged.

In-uiries ' &ppeal

6nly in0uiries regarding the =i>culty score are allowed and they cannot e lodged for a gymnastrepresenting another country.

&he #orld hampionships are open to all 5IG a>liated federations. ?ine titles -- si for Individualsand three for Groups/ -- are up for gra s.

9articipation in the 6lympic Games is restricted. &he top )7 individual gymnasts and the top $)groups from the 0ualifying championships only are admitted to the Games. *ll-aroundcompetitions only gure on the 6lympic Games programme. *s a result, 8ust two 6lympic titles

are awarded, one for Individual gymnasts and another for Groups.

Rope

&he rope is made of hemp or other synthetic material. Its length is proportional to the gymnast!sheight.

Rope is a very dynamic apparatus re0uiring agility, 8umping a ility and coordination.

Hoop

&he hoop may e made of plastic or wood. Its interior diameter is from @( to A( cm1 its minimumweight is %(( grams.

Hoop is the apparatus o2ering the greatest variety of movements and technical s4ills. It must eused on all levels and planes. *ny vi ration of the hoop in the air is penaliBed.

Ball

It!s made of ru er or a synthetic material. It is $@-)( cm in diameter and weights 7((g.

Call is y tradition an elegant and Dlyrical rather than a dynamic apparatus.

Clubs

&hey are 7(-'(cm long and weight $'(gr each and should e made of wood or syntheticmaterial.

lu s are a great Dhand F game + &heir handling re0uires rhythmic wor4, psychomotorcoordination and cloc4wor4 precision.

Ribbon

&he ri on, made of satin or a similar material without starch/ is at least m long and 7- cmwide. &he stic4 is of $ cm diameter and a length from '( to ( cm. It is usually made of wood,am oo, plastic or reglass. Its ma imum weight is %' grams.

• +udges are re0uired to wear a s4irt or slac4s/ and a navy lue sport coat with white dressshirt+

• If an apparatus falls on the oor outside the designated area, a gymnast is authorised touse a replacement apparatus +

• If when tossed an apparatus gets caught on the ceiling, a gymnast is not authorised to startthe e ercise over+ <he can, however, use a replacement apparatus.
