Dear Parents and Carers I am writing to you to let you know that the year 10 pupils have been preparing for their speaking exam which will take place next Monday 9th July between 9 and 12:30am. The speaking examination consists of a presentation that the pupils need to learn (at least 1 minute and maximum of 3 minutes long) and a set of questions they have decided to prepare for. There will also be some "unpredictable" questions that I will be asking during this time. The speaking examination has to be recorded and sent off so that their marks can be moderated. The whole speaking examination is no longer than six minutes. The pupils will be marked on their ability to talk about themselves in French using different tenses and more complex sentences to show off what they know in the language. They will also be marked on their ability to pronounce French words. It is essential that they prepare thoroughly for this GCSE examination. Everyone has prepared their work in class and they now have to learn it at home. I wish your child every success in this speaking examination and it would give your child a great advantage if you could help them with their revision at home. Thank you for your support. Yours faithfully Mrs Lanoë Teacher of French

Dear Parents and Carers

I am writing to you to let you know that the year 10 pupils have been

preparing for their speaking exam which will take place next Monday 9th July

between 9 and 12:30am.

The speaking examination consists of a presentation that the pupils need to

learn (at least 1 minute and maximum of 3 minutes long) and a set of

questions they have decided to prepare for. There will also be some

"unpredictable" questions that I will be asking during this time.

The speaking examination has to be recorded and sent off so that their marks

can be moderated. The whole speaking examination is no longer than six

minutes. The pupils will be marked on their ability to talk about themselves in

French using different tenses and more complex sentences to show off what

they know in the language. They will also be marked on their ability to

pronounce French words.

It is essential that they prepare thoroughly for this GCSE examination.

Everyone has prepared their work in class and they now have to learn it at

home.

I wish your child every success in this speaking examination and it would give

your child a great advantage if you could help them with their revision at

home.

Thank you for your support.

Yours faithfully

Mrs Lanoë
