Rhino® SD3/XD3 Communication ModulesDescription
See Figure 1. The Rhino SD3/XD3 communication module connects to the electrical components on a Rhino SD3/XD3 bulk unloader through 4-pin micro cable connectors (3) and 4-pin Y cable connectors. The communication module (6) and expansion communication module (1) have multiple inputs and outputs. The inputs are bus-powered and the outputs are auxiliary-powered. Refer to the Inputs and Outputs section for a description of each input and output.
The communication module is Ethernet/IP™ and Profinet® capable. The communication module (6) has auxiliary lines (5) for connecting to Nordson control modules and works with the expansion block (1) via a connector. The node address can be set via a web portal. Refer to the system documentation for the proper node settings.
There are three main configurations available for the communication modules.
• Standard/standard with depressurization
• Glass
• Glass with depressurization
