What would human beings be like without feelings?

Perhaps we would be like computers, or automatic and instinctive creatures like insects.

Feelings are that human quality which produces both good and bad emotions.We all know from our own experience what love and anger are, as well as affection or fear, desire or hope; and these emotions motivate us to act in different ways.

No human being displays the same intensity of feeling when exposed to the same stimuli, and these differences are what make us unique.

Good feelings lead us to do the right thing and they must be encouraged. Our feelings make us aware of the life we are living.

Many people channel their feelings through their creativity, producing sculpture, painting, film, design, songs and all the other expressions of what we call art. In such works we can see embodied certain human dimensions that it would be hard to understand in any other way.
