Please take the time to use your envelopes. By doing so we are better able to keep track of your donations. We sincerely thank you for your continued generosity.

From the Pastor:

My dear friends in Christ,

The Christmas Season has come to an end and now we enter into a brief (one month) period of Ordinary Time. It is anything but Ordinary Time here at Corpus Christi Church. As we begin this New Year in The Lord of 2018, we have much to look forward to and much to be thankful for. I thank each and every one of you who volunteer weekly in our ministries or serve on our committees here at the Parish. I thank those who assist at daily Mass whether it be opening the Church or setting the Altar. I thank those who give of their time and talent when we plan and celebrate parish events. It does not go unnoticed and it is greatly appreciated. On February 4, 2018 immediately following the 9:30 A.M. Mass, we will have a Continental Breakfast in your honor in Bogdan Hall. I hope to see many of you there.

You may have noticed that a Second Collection envelope was added each week to help reduce our parish deficit and to help with future projects and parish development. This added revenue, coupled with what we have received thus far from the “Faith in Our Future” Campaign, will help us to achieve the goals set forth prior to my arrival here as your administrator and now Pastor. Please note that decisions like this are made after consulting with our Finance Council and from feedback obtained from you, our community of The Faithful. It is very important to know that the 2nd collection for the third weekend of the month will remain for the St. Vincent de Paul Society at this time. It is my hope that we will continue to work together to make our Parish grow in vibrancy as we move into the future.

May God bless you all!

Father John

2018 MARCH FOR LIFE EVENTS Events held in Washington, DC and The Diocese of Trenton as part of the March for Life observance include:

• Pre-March Pro-Life Mass celebrated by Bishop O’Connell in St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold, NJ on Thursday, January 18th at 7:00 PM

• Participation in the actual March for Life in Washington, DC on Friday, January 19th. Locally, buses will be departing from St. Charles Borromeo Church, Cinnaminson, please call John Loftus 856.701.3985; and St. Katharine Drexel Church, Burlington, please call Eileen Korang, 609.386.0152/0163, Ext. 210.

• Post-March, Pro-Life Mass celebrated by Bishop O’Connell in advance of the Trenton State House Rally scheduled in Saint Mary of The Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, Monday, January 22nd, 9:30 AM.

Bishop O’Connell encourages participation in both the March in DC and the local observances in the Diocese that together provide the opportunity for a strong and prayerful statement of one’s support for human life. Since the favor of a plenary indulgence granted from the Holy See is a privilege, Bishop O’Connell has extended this privilege to include the January 22 Mass at the Cathedral in Trenton, a “sacred celebration” which brings Diocesan participation in this year’s March for Life events to a close.

A Prayer for 2018 …

Lord, thank You for another year within this life of mine. Give me the strength to live it well, whatever I may find. Bestow from Your abundance whatever I may lack, To use the hours wisely, for I cannot have them back. Lord, thank You for another year in which to make amends, for little slights or petty words inflicted on my friends. For sometimes losing patience with problems that I find. For seeing faults in other lives, but not the ones in mine. Lord, thank You for another chance in which to try to be a little more deserving of the gifts you’ve given me. For yesterday is over, and tomorrow far away, and I remain committed to the good I do today!
