Explaining the gradesTarget grade : A target grade is a level that

you could get at the end of year 9.Current Performance : The Level that I'm

currently working at. Projected level : The Grade if I keep on

working at the rate that I’m at now until the end of year 9.

EOB : E means exceeding target grade, O means I’m on target and B means I'm below target.

P.I : This means how well I stand out in the year at that subject.

What makes me a successful learnerI have clear goals in life that drive me

forwardBecause I really want to be a landscape

architectSo I want to do well in art and design. I often use resources because in Spanish I’m

starting to bring my own Spanish dictionary.I make strong contributions to my lessons

because I always put my hand up to express my ideas

My 3 best subjectsThe first subject I’m doing well in music. This

is because I’m exceeding my target grade of 7c. My Projected level is a 7c

Also out of school I’m working towards my grade 3 at cello. I also enjoy this because it involves lots of stuff I enjoy like graphic notations and musical notes. This will help me in my overall learning. My Projected level is a 7c.

My Next best subjectMy next best subject is Maths. This is

because I've got a really high target grade of 8c but my projected level is a 7b. I also mostly understand everything and I’m quick to learn something new so that I can work on it and do it to my highest level. Also I enjoy it so like in music I can get high grade. Although I’m below my target grade. My performance at the moment is a 6c.

My 3rd best subjectMy last, best subject is Art. This is because

it’s the subject that I’m on target for, this being a 6b. I really like the subject as my older brother is doing art and I can’t wait to have a shot at it! At the moment my projected level is also the same as my target grade, 6b

I also like it because it lets my head go into ‘creative mode’ so I can draw to my highest point and thoroughly enjoy it.

3 subjects I need to improve in My 1st subject that I need to improve in is Science

. This is because I’m below my target of 7c and during practical's’ it takes me a while to do a step, causing my group to either fall behind or not get the work done in the time given. I really need to concentrate on getting the work done. My projected level is a 6a, which is only one sublevel lower than my target.

I also need to spend a little more time on homework and making sure I understand the task so that I can achieve that area of the subject.

My other subject that needs improvement inThe next subject that needs improving is

my English. Although my grades show that I’m doing well( my target grade being 7c), it feels like I can do better and that I haven't really done an outstanding performance in it. I say this because my P.I is a 5 rather than a 6 (that I am at at most of my other lessons). I feel I can do better.

The final subject I can improve onThe final subject I can improve in is R.E. This is

because my current performance is a 4a. I’m not too happy about this because I don’t think the level is high and I know that people around me are better in that lesson and I want to be up there with them. R.E is probably the lesson I want to improve most in because in primary I didn’t do much of R.E and I think that might be one of the reasons my current performance is not as high as it could be

Even though my target grade is a 6a as wellAs my projected level also being a 6a.

3 targets I need to achieve in certain lessonsIn Science I will : concentrate more on

getting the work doneIn English I will : listen harder, concentrate

better and overall be better in EnglishIn R.E I will : be more enthusiastic in my

lessons so that I can do the best that I can possibly be.

In the long run When I leave school I would like to do the

following things ( please don’t laugh ).1 : As I’ve said before I’d like to become a

landscape architect2: I would like to go to Spain and use my new

language that I’ve learnt, Spanish!!!!3 : I would like to travel round Africa to get

into warmer weather rather than be in cold Britain!!!!

I hope I can achieve these in later life!
