On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and recognize those who have gallantly

served our country in the armed services. In both peace time and conflict, they have given

of themselves and their families also have made great sacrifices. Our freedom is not free.

Thank you so very much to all and may we remember them in our prayers.

Parishioners and family members listed here are veterans as well as actively serving

members. Please join the parish’s Ranger Rosary Group in praying a rosary for them and

the intentions of their families this Memorial Day weekend.

LIFETEEN IS ALSO THE HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP OF ST. JOSEPH PARISH, DANVILLE! Parents of St. Joseph Parish highschoolers: Please encourage your teen to attend Lifeteen. We leave the St. Joseph School Parking Lot every Sunday evening at 5:30 PM. and return at 8:30 PM.

Life Teen is open to all high schoolers!! May 26th This week is Memorial Day weekend already!! There is no Life Night on Sunday. Happy beginning of summer! We are taking ideas for some exciting things to do this summer as a Life Teen group. Bring your ideas to Life Teen on June 2nd. June 2nd Next Week’s Life Night is entitled “Greater Than”. The goal of > (Greater Than) is to bring to light the distortions caused by original sin that teens experience daily and the negative effects they have on us, specifically in regard to identity. It also echoes the voice of Christ, which calls us to freedom and empowers us with grace to overcome the effects of original sin. DONATIONS APPRECIATED!!! Thank you to anyone who has graciously donated snacks and monetary gifts to Life Teen. If you would like to help with snack donations, we could use snacks of any kind. Bought or baked…it’s all good. We can also make great use of gift cards: Giant, Weis, Walmart…. We provide pizza and snacks for the teens every week, so if you can help in any way it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so very much!!!

Life Teen meets every Sunday night from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. (unless otherwise noted) in the Life Teen room, located upstairs in the parish center at St. Columba Church, Bloomsburg. Enter through the Parish Library by the school playground in the back of the Church. Food, fun, fellowship, and faith. Come and be a part of this dynamic ministry. Life Night’s are open to high schoolers.

Life Teen Mission Statement Guided by the Holy Spirit, the mission of St. Columba Youth Ministry is to empower young people to develop a personal relationship with Jesus so they can live as Disciples of Christ. Through living a sacramental life, continuing Catholic formation, prayer, sharing of gifts and talents, through service and social activities, young people come to understand who Jesus is and live for Him.
