on Friday 25th on the Palmer course with the
format being a 4 person scramble. We had 11
teams take part with only 10 shots separating
first place to last. In first place we had the

1. The Long putter typically has a lie angle of 79 degrees and a length that varies anywhere from 47 to 52 inches, with some exceptions.
2. The Long putter is a more efficient instrument than a conventional length putter or a belly putter because it eliminates some sources of error, such as; up and down, wrist break, and rotation in your putting stroke
3. The long putter is very good on short putts, but more difficult to judge distances on long putts. Why? Because you lose feel when you take some the natural free movements out of the stroke.
4. A long putter will make a mediocre putter into a good putter, but never a good putter into a great putter
5. Before you switch to a long putter be prepared to practice with it and develop feel. As with any putter, it is important that you are properly fitted to get maximum benefit. There are some golfers that absolutely need a long putter but in other cases we try to get to the source of the problem in the stroke and correct it.
Inaugural Members Putting Contest at the Putting PADThe Putting PAD hosted the Members Putting Contest for the first time in late December. With a fun layout on the lower putting green beside the Grande, the stakes were high as the members competed for some fabulous prizes and enjoyed some refreshments afterwards!Congratulations to Valerie Shirck who won the contest and thanks to all members that participated.

ar1. Favorite golf course?
Pebble Beach Golf Links
2. Golf memory to share Winning our flight with my best friend, Stan at the Tippecanoe Member Guest in Ohio last year. Finished second overall…..One day we’ll win it all!
3. Lowest round? 74
4. How did you get introduced to the game of golf? Grew up traveling to tournaments while my Dad, Jerry McGee competed on the PGA TOUR. I got into the tournament business straight out of college and have been in the industry for the last 15 years.
5. Favorite player? Annika and my Dad
6. Dream foursome? Annika, Ava, Will, and me. I hope that happens one day.
7. Best Golf Snack Chili dog with relish and a beer at the turn.
8. My favorite golf shot? I am always certain it will be the next shot I hit. Unfortunately that usually isn’t the case.
9. Your own question that someone might not know about you People often ask how often Annika and I play golf together. The answer is never. I would guess I play an average of 1.5 times per month and Annika plays less than that. The last thing she would want to do is golf with me. I respect that.

For most tennis players playing a lobber is one of the most daunting opponents they can face. This style of player will stay out on the courts all day just waiting for you to make the mistake.
In this article I will give you three things that you can do to help eliminate the majority of those lobs.
First and foremost, you must be patient when playing a lobber. You will be tempted to go for too much and to try and end the point with the wrong shot; keep it in play and move this player around.
Another shot that most club players don’t think about hitting is a mid-court volley from “no-man’s-land”. This will eliminate you having to back up to the fence to defend the lob’s high bounce also giving you a good aggressive move towards the net. Most times this shot will come back as a weaker lob where you can then put the overhead away.
Lastly, a lobber loves to be where? The baseline! If you hit a drop-shot you will force them to move forward, taking them out of their comfort area. You will find that most lobbers are not very good net players where you can then give them a piece of their own medicine… a lob.
Remember, work the points, be patient, use mid-court volleys, and bring them forward. Do this and you will conquer your worst enemy.
Keep on hitting and I will see you at the courts.
